What's a nice smaller TV set on the less expensive side that I should get for my dorm room this fall?

haha NO. i'm being crammed into an economy double room, which is a room that can either be a single, or a tiny double. so i got fucked, i need something smaller that 61". but not too small, because i want to be able to play some decent goldeneye on it. maybe something i can have on a shelf or something.

i always wanted to get a projector and split it with my roommate. hook up everything through my computer and then just have a white sheet that we could hang from the cieling that we would use as the screen.

Projectors are really sweet, until you want to watch TV in the daytime in a room with windows.


For the thread creator, just something like a 32 Inch tube TV, it will cost you next to nothing. Otherwise you're going to want an LCD and you could easily spend 1000$.

i dunno if your lookin for the supreme quality or not but if you know what your lookin for sometimes you can get sweet deals at pawn shops...

oh and yea theres like 20-25 in tvs at walmart for like $150

id say yer best bet is to get like a 20 flat screen with a dvd player attached. its not too expensive but gets pretty good picture. you can prolly pick one of those up for like 100 to 120. a dvd player is a neccesity for a dorm room.

not all our graphics cards can support two monitors. which is really annoying cause i have a decent monitor that no one uses.

my roomate got a 34 inch LCD and with a DVR and 80 cd sound system to run our TV sound through. goes well with the microwave and senseo coffee maker he brought.


the sad part is im serious, and very fortunate. i brought my old mini fridge and some posters...
