i'm looking to get new ski boots for this coming snow season. but i have no idea what are good park ski boots and all mountian boots or what. so if you guys could give me some ideas or point me in the right direction, thatd be great
if you want to save money dont do it with your boots. i got cheap boots last year and it sucked until i got my foils halfway through the year. just go to a real bootfitter and try on a shitload of boots you dont need a specific park boot just one that fits you the best
I would second that...your boots are probably THE most important piece of ski gear that you own. Just think about how much time you are going to spend in them. I work in the park, and probably wore my boots 8 hours a day, everyday in the winter, they were as comfy as my shoes. All I did was try on a shite load of boots and go a nice semi-custom insole and I was laughing...
First thing, don't come to newschoolers for boot help, go to a good ski shop that knows how to fit boots. Second thing, spend more on your boots than 300 dollars. You're not going to get a real solid boot that's going to perform day in, day out and withstand the abuse of freestyle skiing for 250. Third thing, don't just get a salomon foil or spk because half of this site says so. Get them because they fit your feet, and that goes for any other boot. Just try a bunch on and see what feels good, even if it's not the "freestyle specific" boot.
Salomon SPK boot. Even though their know as park boots their still phenomenal in powder and all-mountain. But if you don't trust me on that statement you should definitely go with the Salomon Foil boot. Hope that helped you out.
Yes, lets all blindly recomend boots to him without any inforation. The kaos and ignition have two totaly different fits.
NS is no place for boot help. We can request models for you to try on, but, its all in what fits your foot. You can get some Kryptons that cost 500$, and theyn will be too narrow, or, you can get some Kreations for 300, and have them far to wide.
Just try on a bunch of boots, and see what fits your foot the best. Last year, nomensteven was helping me out with some advice. Here is our conversation:
"Like, I dont want to spend more than 300$ on boots. I have the money, but i think I'll just outgrow them."
"Have you found a boot in your price range that fits you? Have you found any boots that fit you?"
"nothing in my price range fits. Just some foils for 400$ with tax."
"Go with the foils. Your feet will thank you!"
I got the foils, and had my best season ever! No pains in my feet, and my skiing improved soo much.
i know you have to go and get your boots fitted and everything. i just wanted to know some of the newer s and stuff cuz i dont know anything about boots. so i wanted to know what are good park and all mountain boots
