So i've had my Ipod for almost 2 years now and i was perfect untill this last week. And now it skips, if it plays at all....which is pretty rare. But if it does play, and i conect it to my Ihome it freezes and stops playing right when its connected. My Itunes is on an external hard drive (I told them not to but they did it while i was on vacation), can i still plug it into the computer without all the songs being automaticaly erased? help?
i'm pretty rough on it. I just took it camping....ive dropped it countless times on hard surfaces (cement, tile exc..) i charge it pretty much all the time because i have an ihome that charges it whenever its on it. The battery effects whether the songs skip/play or not?
if you drop it repeatedly than its obviously bad for it...as for the deleting songs part tho, it depends if you set your ipod up in the beginning as AUTOMATICLY managing songs/files or MANUALLY managing songs/files.
if you set it for automatic ( which sucks ass) then your screwed cuz its gonna do all that compiliation shit where it cleans your harddrive and deletes songs that have missing info or whatever...
if its 2 yrs old just toss it and buy a new one
ipods only last bout 2 yrs anyway with how hard skiiers use them and how much we drop em
ok thanks, but you wouldnt happen to be able to help me with my other problem... my itunes is in an external hardrive so when i open itunes its completely empty...is there a way to open itunes with all my music without importing it all back onto the hard drive?
try resetting it by holdin down the menu and middle button, if that doesnt work then reset it to factory settings. and if that doesnt work, then make posters and get youre friends to surround the apple building till they give you a new one.
oh i've reset it billions of times....and i cant reset it to factory settings without plugging it into my computer and i cant do that....so theirs only one thing left to do..
