already much better products out there, even in the US.

People in Japan have had better phones than it for a couple of years.  US phone technology is just way behind right now.

Ya, I know, I've been to Japan, but thats not the point of the I phone. It sets a new benchmark for quality of user interface & experience. We all know there are technological areas where it falls short, but thats not the point now is it?

Anyway. Those will it blend spots are fucking hilarious, what a genius advertising campaign.

ya, i dono why everyone shit their pants so hard about the damn iphone.. its actually quite shitty, and not really at all revolutionary, its just a fancified palm pilot coupled with phone and ipod.. which exists already. battery is not removable, so if your batterie dies, you have to send your phone away.. another consumer friendly move by mr. jobs.

I think there was a nokia a couple of years ago that was waterproof, maybe splashproof or something, but it had a thermomerter and barometer built into it and was able to handle being droped etc

my ideal cell phone: makes/recieves calls, texts, waterproof, drop proof, takes/sends/recieves pics/videos.

all you need. basic. oh and has a steady supply of games, like snake, tetris, paddle ball, pong. nothign fancy, basic, and indestructable.
