The 08 ones should be alot better becuase the plastic is harder in the topsheet. But next time...use the searchbar.

they fixed the invaders last year. i havent seen/heard anything from anyone with the 06-07 about them breaking or anything. i will admit the 05-06 sucked but they def fixed them. I love my set.

i love me 06/07 invaders, they chip if you ride em hard, but what do expect? so far my edges and bases have held up from 50+ days, so they're definitly worth the money. And by now you can probably find a good deal on them.

Seriously they're $200 skis...you get what you pay for. Invaders, Silencers, Fugatives, and any other price-point ski just doesn't have the quality of a more expensive ski. If you ski hard, hit a lot of rails etc... these skis probably will only last you a season. If you only ski a few times a year and are pretty mellow you'll probably think they're bombproof. It sucks that dumbasses on here have given line a bad name because they're invaders fell apart. Line screwed up, yes, but they warrantied probably 1000's of skis. They owned up to the screw-up. They still make some of the best skis in the industry and have done soooo much for the sport.

line has fixed basically all of thier previous problems
now brands like Fischer, Moment, and Atomic are making symmetrical skis
invaders look fun, and if you like them and have a blast riding them, they're worth it

it just depends on the ski man..
i have the 05 chronics and i skied em HARD for 2 seasons and theyr still holdin up great.
my friend bought the invaders and he liked em but he said they were a little squirley at faster speeds but he said they were solid well built skis.
plus K2 bought out LINE so with a big strong company like K2 behind a sick company like LINE that is progressin the sport even further...the next years LINE's should be pretty gnarly!!!!!

What Elans did you screw up? M02.2? 'Cause they look rock solid. If you can break those then Invaders won't last for shit

I hate how Line still gets a bad rep just because the first year of invaders had delam issues, their 08 line-up is lookin super sick, and from what I've heard durability is not an issue anymore. I love Line just because they have the balls to come up with new and innovative designs (eliptical sidecut, butter zones, early taper ect.) I'm pretty sure the invaders will last a season for you, if not 2

Line is good stuff the ones that delamed were warenteed and ppl got new ones if it happens thats what they'll do for ya but it is very unlikely that was a problem they had one year. If they had kept the same exact constructuion and continued to make the improvements they have but changed the name of the ski after the first year people would be all over them. Get over the problem they had one year and buy the damn skis, there not ment to last forever no ski is, ride em wreck em and get a new pair thats the system.

Bottom-line. Invaders are skis with a MSRP of $299 and can be found for $200 at end of season sales.
All times are Eastern (-5)
