its between an 178 wrs bc, 185 arv or 175 arv. im only 5'7" and 135 so im wondering if anything over 180 will be too much to spin around in the bc on in park.

ARVs are hella-soft. I mean it all depends on the kind of ski you like. But I mean if you have Dumonts for park, I'd think you'd want something a little stiffer for the rest of the mountain. Don't get me wrong, ARV's are legit, and they'll handle stuff, but I think of the ARV as like a ski for a person with a 1 ski quiver. If you have a park ski, maybe get something a little stiffer and just as wide, to shred everything else.

I do not own ARVs, but I can definitely tell you that they are a lot softer than Scratch BCs. They are also quite a bit softer than Watch Lifes.

my friend has them and loves them...going onto his 3rd season on them...they are very soft so if u dont like a soft ski or ride really hard u might want to look elsewere

Personally I think you should go with the Scratch BC. It's stiffer than the ARV but, not like a 2x4. If you're doing decent sized BC kickers than you're going to want something a little stiffer anyways. Not to mention it'll rip and charge better than the ARV.
Just my 2 cents though.

would this be a good choice for a taller person riding 90% park?

I got the 07 ARVs in 175, I'm about 5'10 and they shred everywhere. Yeah they are a little soft so if you looking for a ski that will allow you to charge hard then look into something a little stiffer.

the arv's are so solid. i am 5'9 140 and i had a hard time deciding last year if i wanted 175 or 185. i was in the shop for about an hour trying to figure it out
anyway, i didnt want to make the mistake of getting a ski too small ever again, so i went with the 185. definitely an awesome choice. not so great for the tight breck trees, but when i went to utah, they were amazing in the pow. of course, spinning anything higher than a 5 is out of the question because they are like boats in the air, but its so worth it

suuuuper light. you can throw them around like nothing, and this is comin from a 135lb kid. they are stiffer tahn the arv but you can still butter if you throw down hard.
good snag on that price

If you have good park skis, get something bigger/stiffer for all mountain. If you want Armada get ANTs or JP's.
All times are Eastern (-5)
