Getting My Vid onto my computer...

and into Windows Media Player..

So far what I have done is install my camcorder cd into my computer, then I hooked up my camcorder into the USB hookup and turned it on so it was playing in VCR mode.


THE PROBLEM: My Computer doesn't even notice that anything is plugged in.. It doesn't say that it found anything in my USB. I really don't know what is wrong.

I've asked around already. And haven't really got much.

My Camcorder is called : Sony Digital Handycam

and it says it's USB Streaming Steady Shot Digital 8.


!HELP NEEDED!

i had the same problem...theres the thread. get a DV/firewire cable from best buy. look on the back of your computer there should be a fire wire port its like the USB but sort of rounded on one side
