tanner hall. tanner has progressed it immensely publicly.. don't go all individualistic emo liberal shit on me for sayin the word public... he has sponsored the sport well and works his tail off to do it i think
Mike Douglas is pretty much the sole reason this site, twin tips and preety much freeskiing in ther freestyle sense of the word exists ,he is the god father, one of the nicest people i know, he won the back 9 year at age 36. and is one of the best all round skiers to ever grace this earth. Every time you click into twin tips of any type or discripion you shouls thank god for blessing the world and giving us mike douglas...
but dont just think about those who started it, think about those that will keep it going. the kids today may one day be just as influencial as the old crew. they keep it alive. and thats doing a lot for the sport
1. Mike and the New Canadian Air Force- breathing life back into freestyle skiing.
2. Seth Morrison- Blending Big Mountain with Progressive Tricks
3. Eric Pollard- for defining what style is, and designing the most progessive skis.
4. Candide- for pushing pipe skiing into a realm no one ever thought possible
5. Tanner- For constantly pushing the sport to new levels since hes was 14 years old.
if you look back on Eric Pollard's skiing 3-5 years ago he was miles ahead of everyone else... so maybe the way he's skiing right now is the way the sport is most likely to progress
tuffy saw the future way back in the day. throwing 12s in the pipe. man was a genius. i think we should take him on as seth v. 2.0 and go completely in that direction.
Shane McConkey. You can also add Kreitler, Cummings, Morrison... All the guys who were there at the beginning and helped guys get to the point of actually making money. Mosely too.
the three headed monster known as the NCAF. JF for inventing tricks, and unatural tricks, Vinnie for switch mastery, and JP for defining the word style in a time of spin to win.
Tanner Hall and Simon Dumont, who does the everyday person see every year on the X-games killing it. You may not agree, but the everyday person has probably never heard of Mike Douglas or Shane Maconkey. Kids see Tanner and Simon and that's what gets them into newschool skiing. But people like us who are more informed can appriciate the names that are more unkown to the general public.
