It seems pretty good for that genre and price range. It has native 16x9 progressive CCDs but are only 1/5 inch each, but still those might be better than just having one. It's cool that it shoots with a variable HDV bit rate but it's kind of weird that it saves to an odd .tod format that has to be converted for NLE.
I'd say it's better than other HDV cameras i've seen in that price range.
I think its a decent camera, but if you want a camera get something that is minidv and has a higher inches per ccd rating..like the vx2100 or sutmin

hey a little off topic but be careful where you buy your camera from, the cheapest websites are ALWAYS scams... I had a bad experience myself once. if you're buying online, make sure you check the site's feedback at resellerratings.com theres a bar where you can type in the sites name and people write reviews, its a good site and will set you away from the sketchy websites.
