Replying to Merrimack boy dies

MERRIMACK, N.H. -- The body of a teenage boy was pulled from the Souhegan River near Wildcat Falls on Thursday.

Officials said that they recovered the 15-year-old Merrimack boy's body after searching the river in Merrimack. A dive team from Nashua responded to the scene near Christopher Drive at about 1:30 p.m.

Police said that the boy was swimming with a group of teenagers and was doing a back flip when he hit another teen in the water. The boy went under and did not resurface.

The teenager who was hit during the back flip made it to shore safely.

The boy's identity was not immediately released.

I was friends with the kid from school he was a pretty cool kid it just really shocks you when something like this happens.
