k2's warranty

so im looking to get new skis, either the 1260's or the pe's. the only tihng keeping me away from the pe's is k2's warranty on them... does anybody know how great it is, what it covers, how long it last etc.? thanks for any help

k2's warrenty is great. just around the time your skis start getting scratched up, youll snap them and you get a shiny new pair. As long as you dont fuck up the ski doing stupid shit (parking lot skiing/ pulling edges out on rails) you will get a new pair if you break um

everything i've heard is that K2 is cool about warrenty as long as it isn't really obvious that you broke them like the have saw marks or teeth marks or they are stuck up someones ass. just buy the PEs!

i broke my edge on a rock and i got mine last year will that be covered by the warranty

K2 is one of the best companies out there as far as warranties go. I work at a shop so i have to deal with that sort of thing all the time, my friend broke his 1260's and line took over a month to get them back to him...

k2 will warrenty just about everything that breaks. as long as its not pure rail damage or rock damage, they will send you new skis. but i have heard some people just got credit towards buying new skis

a big thing that inmfluences a LOT of how fast you get yore shit back from warrenty is how far away from the factory you are. sya if you live on the east coast, lines warrenty is gonna be badass for you since its right here in burlignton, now salomon on the other is based way the fuck out there in colorado or something ( i might be wrong but the point is thats its on the west coast) so thats gonna take long for you...find out wherwe k2's factory is and if its closer you might wanna check into them, you know what im saying ?

Salomons factory is in France, k2's is in china, Lines is in canada.

It doesnt matter where there factories are, it matters where there distribution centers are in the US.

K2 comes from Vashon Island, Washington and Line comes from Vermont and Salomon comes from either Kentucky or Oregon and actually we got some stuff from Salomon last year straight from France.


And if you have your receipt, have a good store to deal with, you will get warranty replacements very quickly.

If you buy stuff from a store that sells a lot of a certain product, like K2 for example, K2 will make sure that they take good care of that store and you will get warranty replacements a lot quicker than dealing with a store that sucks or doesnt sell much product.
