does any one know if all 2100's have the record button on the top of the handle or if it's only some years, then again how many years has the 2100 been available?
dude get that camera fo sho, the button on the top of the camera is like the only reason you need to buy it, dont get stuck with one of those other pieces of shit and having to like go so far out of your way to hit record.
He never even said he wanted to buy a vx2100.All he wanted to know was if it had a record button on the handle. You don't have to go and be a dick about something.
The record button on the handle actually really comes in handy.
When your following someone, sometimes you might have your poles in your left hand, camera is in your right.A lot easier to hit the record button then rather then having to drop your poles just to hit the record button.
I never really had to film while having my poles tho,I usually just drop them in the bottom of a snow gun tower. But I just used that as an example of how much the record button on top of the handle comes in handy.
yeah my friend can do follow cams just holding the handle with one hand and the shots are extremely smooth, i use both hands and its still not as smooth, so i guess it depends on the person
thats why I hate it, whenever somebody uses the handle they just film low, which looks soo skater-ish. I mean, if the trick is so small that you're resorting to holding the camera low to get the shot, then why the hell are you filming it? (with the exception of little fuck around hits)
people people people one hand on the focus ring one over where the tape goes. and really on a follow cam you should hit record before you start moving and end recording affter you land.
shut up dude, it's way harder to do a follow cam on a skateboard than skis. If it works for skateboarding then it works for skiing. You might as well say all handheld shots are for goona if you don't have a steadycam rig strapped to you body it's wrong.
That is what I would say..before I got my gl2 I had a shitty camera..that i did follows with without a handle..I think the handle you cant get a good enough grip on..otherwise you findyourslef providing a "shakey" shot
I do them weird though. I look my right thumb through the side strap, put the rest of my fingers under the focus ring, up against the front side of the camera, and then my left hand just wraps around the entire thing, like Im holding a log
I'm saying its hard to use a handle without going low, because if you held it high your wrist is all contorted and it feels weird to me.
