how do you resize music files? im helping a friend's band upload some songs but it turns out the songs have to be less than 10mb. their songs are around 15mb. thanks.
what format are the songs in? if you still have the origonal recording in its uncompressed form then you can encode it as a lesser bitrate mp3. just google audio compression or recompression or something. i'm sure there will be an app that can do it for you
aif are completely uncompressed i believe. its raw. so if u compress to anything mp3 it should dramatically reduce the size without doing tooo much to the sound. so like put it on itunes, then right click on it on itunes and click on convert to mp3. it may say convert to aac instead which may matter if the site only lets u upload mp3. if thats the case go to preferences in itunes>advanced>importing.and choose import using mp3.
now if u get out of that and do the right click itll say convert to mp3. and do that and shazaam ur good to go
