so i got ahold of a copy of stretch's new cd that will be released on august 19th. it has 11 songs, all around 2-4 mins like usual, and there are many aspects in the songs that you would recognize immediatly. however, i gotta admit that there is more of a pop-ish sound to them now, not so much that i wanna abandon them, but you can tell that their music has been influenced by the bands they toured with lately, like mxpx and new found glory. thats not to say that this cd is pop punk, because it isnt, it's still a genuine mix of their usual hardcore and melodic singing at times.
all in all, just as a revolution transmission was so much different than rituals of life, engage is different from the two of them. i think it will really grow on me, though, and i highly recommend that you pick it up as soon as possible.
