they never put everything that was in the book into the movie. that always makes me sad because its the little things in the book that make it pretty interesting. i still havent seen the 5th one yet but im definitely excited to see it!
haha harry potters the shit anyway, yeah me and my girlfriend were reading the book together the past week, she was pissed how like in the beginning the dementor attack happened during the day and not at night etc etc. Neville found the room of requirement and not dobby... basically its pretty interesting reading a long book with 2 people.
my only complaint about the movie is little miss granger needs to learn to talk...........with........less.........pauses. i bet the movie would have been 15 minutes shorter if she didn't have to make everything seem so damn dramatic.
in the forth one the book has dobby giving harry gilly weed in the movie neville gives it to him i guess neville is just replacing all the shit dobby does
Yeah and there are more, i was definantley dissapointed with it, being as the 5ht book has been my favourite out of the series so far.
The Fountain never came to life to protect Harry and Dumbledore.
While the fight between Dumbledore and Voldemort was cool, if they followed the acutal fight from the book it woudlve been way more epic. While they took some parts from the book they didnt use them all.
And the whole prophecy stuff and leaving stuff out really affects what they are going to be able to show in movie 6 they left out some pretty big stuff and left holes everywhere.
I dunno if it was in this thread or posted somewhere else but someone said they should make like 6 hour long movies because I'm pretty sure alot of people would buy those and watch them if they followed everything and kept it all together alot better, and keep the ones in the theatre for littler kids.
ya dude, what are they on like harry potter 20 now, and by the way how old is the kid that plays harry duech bag, hes gotta be like 35 years old by now, right??
they did leave a lot out but i was much happier than with Goblet of Fire. they left out a bunch of stuff but managed to still get the main story out without a 9 hour movie (which i would watch - probably more than once)
What about the whole Percy thing??? i was pretty surprised that they left that out
it should be interesting to see how they put it all together in the next movie - i figured they were going to be up the creek after Goblet of Fire but they managed to pull it together.
good movie - book is so much better. (here's to book 7)
kinda like how i thought the extended edition LOTR should have been even longer to include all the things from the books that the theatrical versions missed.
This movie differed most from its book, but for the first 70% of the movie that was a good thing. The movie was humorous yet dark and conveyed most of the important details.
However....
They completely fucked up the last 30% of the movie. I was expecting an epic battle strewn across the ministry of magic. Instead, they shortened and simplified the battle sequence and over emphasized harry's inhabitation by voldemort. They turned the most epic sequence in any of the six books so far into a lame and short section.
Basically, I thought that although they changed a lot, the beginning sections were great. However, they messed up the ending horribly and that pretty much ruined the movie for me.
it didnt have as much action in it as most of the other ones. i was expecting it to be a lot longer too so wen it ended i was kinda confused. but i thought it was okay, it wasnt as bad as pirates 3, i actually wanted to keep watching harry potter to see what would happen next, and dumbledore and voldemort fighting was pretty intense
