zack galifinakis is awesomely funny at standup. nick swardson ("yeah but its a sweet car" guy from grandma's boy) is super funny too. but, the best comedian of all time is andy kaufman.

Bill Maher is the smartest comedian out there... but not the funniest, IMO.

Demitri Martin always makes me laugh... but David Cross (slow Donny, anyone?) is pretty hilarious aswell...

Dont think there's been a comedian above that I dont like.No one said Stephen Wright, someone that I think probably really inspired Mitch Hedberg.

Carlin is almost God in my book, but no one will ever ever top Richard Pryor.

At present I definitely dig Dimetri Martin.
