someone sure does like line a lot...
ive ridden the bacons, and i'd have to say that they are not the best all around fat ski out there, at all, IMHO. the way they are shaped, makes them feel like they have a mind of their own, and i caught more edges on the hardpack in that one day, than i had in my entire life.
ive ridden a bunch of pow skis, ive ridden every year of the Seth since 03, Prophets, Bacons, LibTech 188's, PRs, Guns, Scratch BCs, and in my opinion the Bacons were the worst out of the entire bunch, right along side Pocket Rockets and Guns. my favorites were the Seth and the LibTech NAS.
it also depends on how much of a ski your looking for. if your looking for something sub 100mm then i'd go for the Seth's, or the LibTechs. i love the NAS and at 99 underfoot (@188) they still float well. however, this year i chose the 189 AK Enemys, and for a ski with 108 underfoot, they rip everything like an all mountain killer. they are incredibly sick in the pow, and easy to turn in the trees as well. take them onto hardpack and let them loose, they'll take anything you throw at them. and skiing switch is like buttah. i love these things.
its all a matter of preference when it comes down to it.
