Anyone heard of this... looks like it could be real sick. A premiere for an impressive list of professional ski movies spanning three days in montreal. Check it out, this is the only info i could find (its on facebook, so if you dont have an account you can't see it.) I donno if this is posted yet, but fuck it i dont care.

thats what i thought. i just looked it up for anyone who is curious and doesnt have a passport, because i know Ski_Unit_19 was asking about this.

"ENTRY/EXIT REQUIREMENTS: For further information on entry requirements, travelers may contact the Embassy of Canada at 501 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, D.C. 20001, tel. (202) 682-1740, or the Canadian consulates in Buffalo, Detroit, Los Angeles, New York or Seattle. The Canadian Embassy's website is: http://www.canadianembassy.org/ .

Land and sea travelers are encouraged to have a valid U.S. passport. If they do not have a passport, they should be prepared to provide a government-issued photo ID (e.g. Driver's License) and proof of U.S. citizenship such as a U.S. birth or naturalization certificate.

U.S. citizens entering Canada from a third country must have a valid U.S. passport. A visa is not required for U.S. citizens to visit Canada of up to 180 days. Anyone seeking to enter Canada for any purpose besides a visit, (e.g. to work, study or immigrate) should contact the Canadian Embassy or nearest consulate prior to travel. they keep pushing the date back for a passport requirement, i know that it was around january 21st, 2008 and has since been moved back a couple months at least so you won't need one for this since it's in september 2007. hopefully i'll be able to make it, i'm only a couple hours from montreal when i'm at school so that's pretty damn convenient. easily the greatest party city i've ever been to...

alright so nick, i do trust you but i'm still trying to figure out if anyone FOR SURE knows what the deal with US to Canada is as far as passports go.
i recently had a friend go to Canada and he made it sound like i needed one, along with conversations i'd had with other people. i tried to check on the USPS site but a crashing computer and minor confusion led to hopeless results.

if someone could answer this for a fact, that'd be great- especially for saving me at least $150. thankksss

Just get a passport... its really not actually all that hard to get, and it makes travelling SO much easier!

so past events where i've been screwed out of tickets because i've waited, have really got me paranoid when it comes to buying them. i stayed up well past 12 checking if3.ca to try to get these tickets but no luck. i got myself to wake up now to do the same thing. i can't figure out where to get them. am i just rushing for no reason or are the tickets not being sold directly off the if3 site? if someone could give me any info at all that be greaatttt.

I was under the impression you needed a passport to cross the border. So I went to my local post office to apply for one. She flat out told me I do not need one until January 2008. All you need to bring is your ACTUAL birth certificate and drivers license. You're good to go.

Even though getting a passport is a good idea, it would cost you more money to get it by Sept 13th.
