Well maybe not, but I do think this is a decent idea.
What if you did it without ever giving the power to members? Just let mods do it. Say a person makes a thread, realizes that they said something they really didn't want to say, maybe the gave out information that needed to be kept secret, whatever reasons people have. If its legit, a mod could make the desired changes, and only in rare instances where it is actually needed.
So when somebody pulls a faunt, they can message a mod, who will promptly do absolutely nothing apart from messaging a guy in red about a sticky.
You'd have to make it very clear that its only for extenuating circumstances, like if a guy puts together a huge thread with a bunch of pics for one reason or another, only to realize he posted a picture that he wasn't supposed to for some reason. Instead of doing it all over, he could have a mod take just the one pic down.
So when people say "Why cant we edit pots?" just say "If you really fuck up, green has your back, if not you should read your shit first"
I agree with most of you, not editing is part of the character of NS, and people need to think before they post. I was just thinking something like this would shut up a small percentage of people for some odd reason, plus I haven't said anything in here for a long time.
And yes, I fully realize that most of what is posted in here, including this, is mostly unnecessary and probably not a high priority issue, I dont give a shit.
