you have to go to college for 6 years now and it is allot harder than putting pills in a bottle, you have to have the correct dossages and make sure meds dont react with eachother and stuff like that

no but getting there is hard. six years of class, half a year of internship, and you have to pass a test. once you pass that say hello to 60-70k starting plus signing bonuses b/c america is short of any medical personell(sp)

OK, seriously for any girls out there. WTF is with it taking like 15 minutes to get a birth control prescription filled? It's not like it needs to be counted out...it's pre-packaged. Grrr...

I have a friend in pharm school and as intelligent as he is, he said it's incredibly difficult. The kid had a 3.8 or something throughout pre-pharm and he's having a hell of a time in pharm school. Doing well, for sure, but it certainly isn't a cakewalk.

to be a pharmacist is hard i believe.. i think you have to do med school.. like full on?? but the pharm technician pays like 15 $ an hour and you can learn to be one in a year at one of those pehonix college type things.. dono how hard that shit is though.

ive worked at a pharmacy in my town for like 3 years, im really good friends with the pharmacists there and they even let me act as a pharmacy tech, so i get to fill peoples prescriptions and do old peoples pill paks and stuff, sure you make a lot of money but, like its been said before, all you really do is fill prescriptions and talk to doctors when there is a problem with prescriptions, the doctors kind of handle most of the problems with drug interactions so really the most exciting part of ur day would be phoning the helpline to figure out if a customers drugs are covered by insurance. i wouldnt do the job, even tho the money is right, but thats just me

im a pharmacy technician right now... I make 10 and hour because i still have to finish up PDX system training. Once im done with that ill be making 17 an hour. Its pretty hard work and it gets stressfull at times and noooo its not just putting pills in a bottle... you have to memorize brand and generic names and be able to comprehend the pdx system which is quite complicated... insurance billing is a pain and the customers themselves are a pain.... thats just for a technician... pharmacists have it twice as bad.... but i guess its worth it for 100+ grand a year

Good job, but boring. Hard work when it gets busy. My mom was one.
