Question about goggle fogging/foam

The foam surrounding the goggle, actually surrounding it not the foam that touches the face. Does it play a big role in venting and keeping the goggle from fogging? If there's a little hole like 2mm x 2mm is this going to affect the goggle? What about an even bigger hole?

Its more the lens. The vents play a role, but, scott and anon goggles have really good anti-fog coatings on the lenses. The lens's coating plays a larger role than the seal to your face itself

We'll it's a little rip on the top of the goggle frame. Where the foam is very thin, not the part touching your face. I've been using Smith no-fog wipes on all my goggles and they work great, so I'm guessing the little rip won't have much affect at all.. I mean air still passes through the foam at the top, and the sweat doesn't reach there.

exactly. It may affect it a little if its really cold out, and your face is really hot, but other then that, its primarily the coating on the lens
