for '07 they both were pretty bad. dogen was super not durable and the thruster was a noodle.

I beg to differ. The thrusters were amazing. I demoed them for a few hours. They were really light, but i needed the 181. They gave me a 171 mounted -3 and i liked it, but for the lightness and agility, I would have rather ridden a 181 mounted true centre.
As for the dogens, i only have the chance to look and hold them. They seemed pretty solid.

umm, no. i rode the thrusters mounted dead at 181. and they were a pretty good ski. definitely not a noodle.

171. and what im emphasizing is that the thrusters aren't very good for the money. and i know the topsheet on the dogen was one of the least durable this year. but like you could get trouble makers or something for the same price as the thrusters and they're better.

i can get the trusters 4 £140 which is liek $280 with bindings brand new but ther only available in 171 so u guys think i shud get 171???

Go bigger dude.
I rode thrusters last year for like 40 days, after that I couldn't stand the softness anymore and had to go back to riding my Ar5's.They were great for like the first month I rode them, then after they they became a complete noodle. And I have about 6 edge cracks on each side of the ski.Definitely not a good quality park ski.Armada is probably the most legit ski I've ridden.Strong base, edges hold up great, top sheet chips but who cares about that.

He's saying Sammy was on 4frnt, which I dont know if its true or not.... And all this talk about salomon being shit skis is way off. The foam has the SAME properties as wood, and lasts longer.

why are they switching most of their skis to wood then? im not saying you're wrong, but im just wondering why they would change it if it's so good?

It has to do with the pros i think, and us. Alot of people hate the foam cores, so maybe, to genereatte sales, they are switching to wood? I know the foam is really light, and durrable.

no carlson used to be on 4frnt when he first came up and salomon gave him mad dough to change just like abma
no one will ever convince me that salomon skis are any good for anyone, and the money goes to retards who dont care about freeskiing....buy armada or line or 4frnt

Your mis educated post is really funny.
In fact we do care about freeskiing as we have one of the sickest teams in the world and we make great skis based on what our Salomon Atheltes design and ask for.
The Thrusters last year that eveybody is talking about are totally different this year. I have had X Games pro's from many other company's come to try our skis this summer because the word is out that are skis are different then before.
The fact is that this is true and people are able to feel the difference comapred to before. We are all about progressing our products and we will continue to do this.
If you still think our skis are not for you than you should try some out and I guarentee you will think different after.
Peace,

def thrusters, they are such a sick ski for park; they are so light and agile i wish i had bought them instead of ar6s. Although they seem like they loose their life after a while and yes they are a noodle, i couldnt even butter with them because they would just slip out from under me.
