anyone know a good free conversion program that will change wmv to mpeg 4 for ipods, also a program that will change mpeg files to mpeg4's?

Google mediacoder. It literally changes any format to any other format, no matter how insane. Tough to use if you're a retard, but awesome software if you can figure it out.
