So being an ass to a bunch of people who might have work to do is fun to you?

as long as you were not an ass about it. and did not keep anyone from finishing what they needed to do. but just imagine yourself in the reverse situation. You are sitting there trying to regester for the US open. then right as the tiem coems to regester some dick comes in and slows down the conection, it takes your conection 10-30 seconds to proccess the order you gave it. Now becuase some dick wanted to see what he could do you will not be compeating in the US open, and you were sure it was going to be your break out year.

I can steal it from the pub next door to my house, or the Cave Rescue depot round the corner.
I don't need to though, since I have my own which is faster....

someone tries to get on my wireless internet some times. i think its this weird guy that lives pretty close to us because his house is the closest one that would have a chance at picking up the signal.
I dont really care, its not that big of a deal because my internet doesnt slow down at all and since our internet is through my moms work they usually get booted off pretty fast anyways.

go denman. later this week i'm rolling through there to go to hornby. apparently they have a nice beach my friend wants to show me.
in april i was living in this house in van and a roommate bought this satalite that we just pointed at the houses in the area and found the best wireless signal. free internet is fun.

lets not call it stealing, lets call it borrowing without asking, and no intention to return it.

What in God's name are you doing on Denman island? There's nothing there. Absolutely nothing.

hahaha yeah cause if you say you are stealing wifi then you're kinda incriminating yourself. if you say you're borrowing or using it, well that doesn't sound so bad eh.
I just had a quick look on google, accessing a network without authorisation is illegal. as fucked as it is, this includes accessing unencrypted wireless signals that are beamed into your own home. If someone is broadcasting a signal into my own home then isn't that an infringment of my privacy? why shouldn't I be able to use that signal (as long as its not for illegal purposes). But really, common sense should prevail; if you dont want other people to use your network, then protect it.

its not invading your privacy. It's just a signal. Are radio stations invading your privacy by having their signals go through your home/ but I have no problem stealing wireless or people stealing it from me, as long as they are sketchy.

so its illegal.
in your case it would be borrowing because your only there for a short time i am assuming.

for the sake of the argument as to why you should be able to use other peoples wireless they are. they are broadcasting their wireless signal into your home uninvited.
I guess what I was trying to say is that if you use your neighbours wireless without permission it shouldn't be seen as breaching their privacy, because they are the ones that put the signal in your house.

For some reason you can get onto someones wireless at East Missoula Beach. Its a riverbank way way way out in the cuts of Missoula, sort of in the shady part. Its sick though, I would bring my laptop down there and do my online class work in the sun.
