Ghost/Scary Experiences Thread

me and a few friends were giong to "ghost mountain" (lame name, i know) in eastern PA. we were driving and at 3 am exactly a black cat ran across the raod, and 3 minutes later my girl lost control of the car going downhill. we fishtailed twice, hit an embankment, took out a mailbox, and ended up in the woods.  Then I don't remember too much cause my head got knocked around pretty bad

My house, i bielive is haunted. I can't walk in it after dark unless i have the lights on. and if i do i build up a cold sweat and get so scared i'm going to get grabbed I can't run up my stairs. My cat stares at nothing walking near me. My door becomes open at night, I feel something watch me some nights.

Most nights I always close my door, on occasion, I wake up, stiff muscles tense and contorted and feel eyes on me, I sweat waiting for it to take my eyes off me so i can sleep again. I always see things, even now out of the houes. Walking places I'll see someone turn to look, no one. I do it everywhere  but not ina oh i must have mistaken it for something. In a way i turn to look at the person it would be so obvious I never do it with people I'm shy but whenever i mistakenly see something its obvious something is up with something i'm looking at. I see things in the windows here, hear it downstairs doing stuff. pacing, somenights it paces my hallway. Just weird shit ike that

I get voicemails... from numbers i don't konw saying stuff. these are all things you hear in the wind no paticular voice just something created by sound i don't even know. I had an old one, mysteriously detleted after a week, i was driving down the highway when i oddly got a voicemail, no number had called there was no call back number for the message either. I listen to it, my eyes start to water my hands start to shake something fucked up just had happend. In the messege there was a raspy windy voice, i started saying i.....i...i... it isn't an obvious voice, i knew something was wrong. It sounded just like the wind, you had to pay attension to hear what it was saying. Then it goes on, I... love....... you..it then muttered something and the message was over. My heart pounded cold, my eyes running down my cheeks, i was freaked out. I have always had creepy things happen to me in my life. here i will let you listen to my new one. ok, so heres my experience. ive posted this story in 2 other threads in the last few days but i want more people to read it because it was long to write and i want to feel like it was actually worth it, so here it is;

last summer, i spent a good part of my vacation working at my friend Andrew's house painting the fences around his stable. its a pretty countryish area but theres a busy road that runs right by it so nothing too deserted. at the intersection of the road in front of his house and the busy road, there is and old red barn (pretty big, too) that dates back to the turn of the century. it was recently renovated so its clean and people even live there now (though weve never told them about the stories). My friends mom told us that we could go get sodas in the mini-fridge in the kitchen of the barn so we decided to go check it out, not knowing about the weird shit thats already happened in there. we go in, nice place, and head for the kitchen. at the back of the room, a door is slightly open so we go in the room; a bare room, no lights and really cold although it was a really hot day, pretty weird but whatever. i bring up the possibility of it being haunted so we decide to bring a camera and my friends dog (whatever) and go explore said room; the cameras batteries drain and we somehow lose the dog so we go find it (pretty young dog and very excitable). i get the back of the barn (now a garage housing the neighbors Porsche) and so i go out and call for the dog. nothing. i go lift the dust-cover from the Porsche to check it out (kind of a car guy) and see a reflection in the window, really fast. turn around and nothing, i hear whispering voices behind me, turn around and nothing again. pretty freaked out, i run back to the main room (really big and open, used to be a restaurant) and find Andrew who looks puzzled, ''What are you doing down here, we heard voices upstairs and we saw a door opening''. we get the fuck out of there, needless to say, and find the dog back home. fast-forward a few days (you guys are probably getting tired of reading this, but kudos to making it here) were four now and we tell our  other friend about the other day. pumped, we go check it out again and nothing happens but we notice an eery wood stove with two dead crows in it. that was weird, and we go back out. thinking that we should have gone upstairs, we decide to come back two minutes later and , right when we open the door, we hear the radio working. weirded out, we call the neighbors name to see if it was him. no answer. we go check it out for our selves and realize its right near where my friend and his bro had heard noises and seen a door open so we, once again, get the fuck out of there. convinced that something weird is happening, we decide to further investigate the next day, with an extra person among us. we sit on the couches near the entrance and try to invoke it, saying we just want to see if its really there. two flashes near the radio. silence. a shadow moves slowly along the wall neighboring the radio and we start asking each other if we all are seeing the same thing; yes, we are. really sketched out but pulling out our balls (metaphorically), we head towards the stairs. as we start going up, we hear a low humming, like the wind, but there was no wind, the windows were closed and there wasnt even a single car on the road in front of the barn. we all sprint and go back home. we talk to Andrew's mom about this (shes hot ( i hope he doesnt read this)) and she says that the ghosts (because we heard several voices) were problably car crash victims. before, the road in front of the barn would turn 90 degrees and take the path in front of my friends house and in the winter, people would get gnarly crashes there. some crash victims were brought into the barn and two of the died in there, pretty creepy. even a previous resident says he woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and when he opened the door, he says someone came out of it and walked through him.

that was my story, youd have to be there to understand the scaryness of it all. for the bromont locals, its on boulevard Pierre-Laporte towards Cowansville and the restaurant used to be called ''Les Dépendances du Manoir''. oh, and a few months later, my friend found a silver cross embedded in the bark of the 200 year old tree next to the barn.

in chile next to the border by portillo there's an abandoned hostel with broken windows and shit and we were skiing across the border so i skinned over by the hostel and looked in the windows. everything was strewn everywhere and there was grafiti and shit but the front desk remained perfectly intact, just sitting there ready to be used. there was a swiveling chair behind the desk and as i looked in the door the chair suddenly spun the fuck around so fast, just twirling. i gtfo so fast, idk wat caused it but it scared me shitless, this is in the middle of the day also

ok read this def the best ghost story on here...

this isn't really a ghost story but... its a scary experience. its actaully not even that good of a story but whatever.

this is fall of sophomore year in high school. me and two friends snuck out of my house at about 2 am. we go about two blocks to a bathroom and start smoking... later on... we come out and there is this weird woman about 100 feet away just staring the hell at us... then all of a sudden she comes up to us singing like a motherfucker. like running. and i was like oh shit what the fuck is this bitch doing... and i was also high. anyway... we didn't run away we just stood there and she got to us. she spread her arms as if she was going to give me a hug or some shit and then said "sing with me children". at that point i was like... ok, its fucking two in the morning, a woman is trying to rape me. so i was like git the fuck away. and we ran... but!!! my friend left is damn pipe in the bathroom!!!! so we went back, but that bitch was guarding that shit!!! so we were like ok fuck. we waited and she didnt go away so evenally one of my friends distracted her and me and the other went in and grabed it. then we left. it was crazy.

Alright so my house sat empty for over a year before we bought and there are certain rooms that give you a wierd feeling when you walk by and even my parents think 'something" lives in it but anyway it was about a month ago and i went to sleep around 10ish cause it was a school night. At about 2 in the morning i wake up to hear about eight -ten doors slam one after another VERY loudly (there are only 5 doors in our upstairs including mine). i open my eyes thinking it might be my brother and look at my door to see a figure slowly open it and stare at me. it is only a black silouette and stands there for about 20 seconds then slowly walks down my hall. I am paralyzed at this point but somehow get up and walk into my hallway. All the doors are closed and everything seems normal.

The next moring i ask my parents if they opened my door and they said no and then they tell me i must be dreaming (i wasn't fucking dreaming). I ask my brother and he says that im crazy and that he didn't wake up the whole night.

Three days later im the only one in my house and i hear droors slamming (my dads office is next to my room) so i walk in and all the light are off and no one is in there. I have come to the conclusion that my house is haunted. fuck.

i have no clue why i am reading this. i hate scary shit. i do have a story though, my dad's but its not really scary. so my dad lived near aspen as a kid, and when he was like 12, there was some serial killer who was reportedly seen in the area. my dad, a horse person, thought for some reason that this son of a bitch was gonna try to steal their horses to get away or some shit. he rigged up a sledgehammer in their barn to swing down and smash someone in the face if they opened the door. he went and told his mom, thinking she would be proud. she basically told him he was retarded, and to take it down. so he goes and openes the door, cuz its the only way to dismantle tge thing. he takes like two steps to tge side, and the thing wizzes by his face. not really scary at all, but its pretty badass that my pops was ready to bash in a serial killer's face to save his horses.

alright, so nhskier05 posted in here earlier. Well i stayed at his house a few weeks ago. and holy shit his house is haunted. I have heard all the crazy things that have happend in that house but what happend to me was just messed up. I slept on the floor in his room, anmiddle of the night something felt strange. when i opened my eyes i was in his hallway. i freaked out and closed my eyes. when i opened them for the second time i was back in his room. the door to his room was shut. and still had a bunch of shit in front of it.

hate to be 3 out of 6 posts, but i need more stories.

My friend's dad said that when he was a kid he and a friend went out on this point to check out an abandoned house there. It was like two miles out on this thin point in a lake, and had been abandoned for years (it was built a long ass time ago out of logs and shit). So they get to the house sometime in the evening and walk up on the porch to go inside, and on the way in they see an old rusty axe leaning against the wall next to the door. They don't think anything of it and go inside.

however long this thread was mad the sounds in my house, the footsteps the door opening, the pacing, the whispers, he leaves me alone now most of the time, but on some nights, he will open my door and stare at me. I will feel it, at like 11.. close my door, 2 comes around and i will hear walking 230 he will open my door, i can watch the knob turn, he jsut looks throughthe door which is about a foot wide. His name is cooper and i was the last person to see him alive.

this took place about two weeks ago. bare with me, it's not so much paranormal as it is really fucking creepy. so my aunt and three cousins ( one is my age and my good friend) are in the middle of moving towns, to come to my town. they found a house to rent for the time being, maybe for the next year and a half. but the owner is taking her sweet time in moving out, way late and this family has already moved out of their previous house. so a family friend in town has offered his house for stay, he's my cousin's godfather, and him and his wife are in china for an extended time. they stayed in the godfather's house for about a week. when their real house was ready, let's say this is a Saturday, I can't remember. they cleaned up the house, made everything neat and tidy, like no one had been in it. they slept in their new house Saturday night, and on Sunday went back to the godfather's house to put borrowed boxes( for moving) back in the basement. my aunt, Heather, forgot her keys so she asked me and my cousin to see if we could find a way in. my cousin was about halfway through unlocking a window when I found and opened an (UNLOCKED) basement door. we went upstairs from the basement and opened the door for Heather. when she saw the foyer, she shit herself a little bit. there was a chair, strategically placed by the door to be hidden from sight until the last second upon entry, and someone must have been sitting in it possibly all night waiting for the family to arrive that night, but they all slept in the new house. the godfather was phoned and he confirmed that the door I entered through was not supposed to be unlocked. it's a scary thought to know that someone was sitting calmly in that house, just waiting.

So in my old old house I had a bedroom with a pretty big window above my the head of my bed which went directly onto a walkway along the side of my house to my backyard. Anyways, one night everyone was asleep, and I woke up with a flashlight shining on my face through my blinds. Needless to say I was scared shitless, and basically froze in my bed for a minute until the light turned off. I thought it was my dad playing a trick so I sprinted upstairs and checked on everyone, sure enough they were all in bed. Anyways, a couple weeks later my family went away on a trip to the states and when we came back I noticed that someone had tried drilling into my window frame from the outside in attempt to disable the alarm on my window. We had the cops come and we installed a motion detector light down the side of my house. It never happened again but it scared the shit out of me.

my room has a window looking into my. backyard, and a door in the hallway leading into the back patio. my house seems to be a target for break ins, and there have been at least 4 times where I'm lying in bed and I hear the door get jimmied or a fucking window smash in the next room, followed by the alarm. one time around twilight, the shadow from outside was cast on my wall, and I saw the silouttes of two people walk through my backyard. I was home alone. fuuuck

My girlfriend told me about a prett shitbricking thing she and three of her friend experienced when they were twelve years old.

They were playing in a nearby forest and doing "adventure" stuff and all that. When their route came onto a nearby road, they saw a white, ethereal smoke come from beside the road. From the smoke, a pale-skinned, black-haired woman appeared. They all told afterwards that she had this unoworldly...TWITCHING motion, her haid was twisting how it shouldn't and so on...then all of a sudden, she..no, it disappeared. They all ran home, and my girlfriend's mom told her to draw a picture of what she saw and it corresponded with what everyone else had seen. When she told me about this and other ghastly things happening to her family through the years, I almost shat myself.

This didn't happen to me. My friends told me this story, it happened to another kid who skies and actually might be on here. This is real by the way.

So one time, my friend Emily had a party. Really lame party. It was at a church which was next to a graveyard, so I come up with the genius idea to go walking in the graveyard. So I tell her dad and everyone leaves. We all go walking, all the chicks are freaking out and the guys are making jokes about seeing stuff, then I look over at this bench about 100 yards away, and there's this white shape, sitting on it staring at me. I'm like "Guys do you see this?" and they all look and start freaking out. The girls freak out and everyone takes off, we all sprint. I look back, and it's just walking slowly towards us. So we all get back to the church, the girls run off and me, my friend Stephen, my friend Andrew and his two friends decide to go back out. We just start walking towards another part of the church, it's a gymnasium. So we get there and I'm getting scary vibes from the place so I go back. They go and walk around, and right as I get back, I see them SPRINTING towards me.  I hold open the door and lock it when they get in, and they tell me that they were on the other side of the building, with this open door and a red exit light on the other side of it. They look inside, and this huge figure moves in front of the light and walks towards them. They said as they were running away it made these moaning noises and moved towards them.

About 10 minutes after that we go back out, walking towards the chapel. It's just this big parking lot. We're all freaking, we all have knives cause we're freaking out so bad. We get about half way there and we start seeing shapes moving around the chapel. At first it's just a silhouette of a man walking. Then it's a man and a dog walking, and we're freaking out cause it's about 11, and it's weird as hell. So we start getting closer, and the silhouettes stop walking around the chapel, and we see one walk toward us. We start freaking the fuck out. We keep walking for who knows what reason and get about 100 feet away, and we're scared so bad. We hear this deep guttural yell. Just primal and scary as hell come straight from the chapel where last saw the guy, so we turn and SPRINT like hell. Get get about 100 feet away from the church and stop running, I look over at this window in the side building, and there's the white figure I saw on the bench, just standing there staring at me. I freak out and run away, and everyone else freaks and one. Freakiest night of my life.

You guys disturbed peace of a grave yard. Walked out there having no respect for the dead, make jokes about those dead people, they used to be alive just like you. no wonder you guys felt threatened.

Its really fucking scared me sometimes, like hes peaceful I'm pretty sure its this kid i Saw when i was like 8 skiing by myself, a snowboarder hit him and killed him and I was the last person to see him alive, His name is cooper its calmed down alot since I've had his parents phone number and stuff in my room. One night though he was very angry and paced loudly in my hallway for a goodhour, went downstairs ran back up the stairs and pressed against my door so i could just hear the wood bendin in.

I sear to God my fishing pole is cursed or something. It's a casting rod, so when you cast you have to keep your thumb on the reel so it doesn't spin all the line out and get all tangled. I cast it perfectly all the time in every direction, but EVERY single time I cast to the west, and I mean every single time, it gets tangled and jammed. I even tested it out multiple time. I would cast in every direction, just to prove that I could cast it without any problems. But when I casted to the west, it got all tangled. I did the same thing again, every direction perfectly fine, then again to the west to see if I could cast without fucking up, sure enough, it got fucked up.

Not as crazy as some of these and could just be a coincidence, but here it goes:

So I was like 12-13 just chilling in bed one night. I couldn't fall asleep so I was just doing nothing and thinking, you know the deal. My house always makes weird creaks and shit. It's probably nothing, but it freaked me out as a kid. This night, the creaks were louder and most frequent then normal. Not expecting anything to happen, I quickly say, "If there is something out there, let me know." I don't know why I said it. Anyways, almost immediately after I say it, my door slowly starts to open. No windows or anything was open. Scary shit.
