Ghost/Scary Experiences Thread

Now that it's summer and we're all bored, we need a thread about scary things and going out and exploring the haunted places in your town. Feel free to add pics and videos. I'll start with a story, it's not really scary but kinda interesting.

After buying some fireworks we decided to go explore this church that was burned down by some crazy dude years ago. It's a wierd place, there's like an old abandoned house by it and then the old ruined church, it's like in the middle of a forest. People say that a big stone cross was dragged out of the church and is just sitting in a clearing, we couldn't find it.
When we were getting out of our car to start walking up the trail to the church, and we saw a car coming down the road, so we hid in the trees around the dirt clearing. It turns out it was some gay mexican kid and his friends doing the same thing we were, hah it was funny we scared the shit out of them. On the way to the church we came to a wierd place with 3 cars that were totally trashed. We finally found the church. It was a stone building and one wall was collapsed allowing us to see most of the church from the outside.
A girl we were with took pictures with her camera and it was soo creepy, a few of her pictures had those orb things in it, and one we looked at later had a creepy ass face just sitting in the dark.
There was a ditch going around part of the back of the church like someone dug it out, and it went underneath the building, into like some kind catacomb, my friend was standing inside the ditch looking into it and he said something grabbed him, and we took off, I don't know if I believe him but it scared me.
Hahah, and one of my buddies told me a story when he went there with his girl one time and he said some demon or some shit jumped across the path, and scared the shit out of him. He took off without his girl(she chased him) and he ate shit and got dirt in his mouth, he felt so bad for leaving her, but he said he was so scared, he admits it could have just been a deer. But it's so funny he ran off with out her and ate it.

come on peeps i wanna hear some good ones.
heres a few of mine.

this one time when i was like 7 years old and i woke up at about 5 AM by some weird loud thud sound and i couldnt get back to sleep so i got up at about 5:45 and left my room, and in the hallway i SWEAR there was this lil purple ball of light floating around in the hallway. the thing was like floating around then it stopped for a second and came at me so i shit my pants and ran like a motherfucker and hid in a corner in my living room behind a chair for half an hour. then later that day i noticed there was a chip taken out of my bedroom door. i didnt sleep well for a month. the chip is still there too, but i had my dad paint over it cause it freaked me out so much, and its a pretty good size chip, ill take a pic sometime in the future. my theory is that its an old lady who used to live in my house (my house is wellll over 100 years old) and she was trying to get into my bedroom (possibly her bedroom back in the day?) and she got pissed and hit the door with an axe/knife.

and another time when i was little, i was in the bathroom brushing my teeth, and i swear to god someone was tapping my shoulder, but there was no one there and then i went to spit the toothpaste out and when i looked up at the mirror my towel for the shower was off the hanger and open on the floor. freaked me out pretty good.

and there was this one like last year i had a friend over, we were sleeping in the basement. in the middle of the night we were both awoken by two loud bangs followed by a loud thud. we turned the lights on and didnt sleep the rest of the night.

my house is scary.

my dads story,
my dad lived in brokton when he was a kid, really rough place in MA, like really rough. so there everyone would chill on their stoops. My dad told this story well and he swore to his death that it was true. so he had this good friend i forget his name but lets call him jimmy for the story, so jimmy was a quiet kid who always was bouncing a basketball and always smiling wherever he was, his dad beat him and his mom died awhile ago. so my dad was chilling on his stoop with his brother and so jimmy starts walking by. Its about 7 ish out so getting darker out. so he sees jimmy with no basketball and he (my dad) goes hey jimmy what are you up to. jimmy stops in his tracks and stares at my dad, my dad said he kinda had this blank face on no smile, no basketball. so jimmy didnt say anything and keeps on walking. so he goes to bed wakes up and goes to school. everyones talking about what happened last night. my dad was like wtf is happening turns out that jimmy was beaten to death by his dad when he got home...at 530 an hour and a half before he walked by my dad.

another wierd shit is when my dad started getting sick with cancer, he would sit in this chair and would turn around like he heard something and follow it to walking by him and he was convinced that he would see his dad who died when he was 13 everyday and would tlak to him in his dreams, scary shit

alright, there's this place by my grandparents in Sydney B.C. on the island called The StoneHouse Pub. It's a restaurant but it used to be an old farmhouse type thing but the kid who used to live died or something of a disease. But apparently he helps out around the restaruant by putting things away and stuff. And I one night while I was eating there on my summer vacation it was dark and there wasn't anyone eating out in the patio, and me and my sister were eating alone and we both went to the washroom and when we came back everything was cleared off the table even though we weren't done eating. and we asked the waitress why she took our food and she told us she didn't. So I assume it was the ghost trying to help out.

OMG that video was freaky, at the end that is fucking insane!

But anyways I got a story. My friends swear my house is haunted. This old grandma doll in a rocking chair on top of a shelf would just start rocking on it's own in front of us, so creepy. And upstairs, there is a place where if you step it will creak and you know someone is coming downstairs, well whenever I'm home alone or with someone downstairs we will hear it and no one else is there. Also whenever I'm on the computer I sometimes see a shadow moving on the wall in front of me like someone is behind me, and I look turn around and a blind will fall off the curtains from my back door, freaks me out.

And here's a really creepy thing that happened, it was late and no one was home, I just got back from hiking and my shoes were wet so I put them in the dryer. So, I set the timer for like 5 minutes, and came up from the basement to eat. I went downstairs to check on my shoes, and the laundry room door was wide open, and so was the dryer's door, my shoes were sitting on the ground infront of the dryer. Leaving the laundry room I noticed there were handprints in the carpet on the floor outside in the hallway between the laundry room and my dead brothers room, it was freaky but I wasn't really scared for some reason. And since then those other creepy things I mentioned before havn't been happening anymore.

it was most likely your brother then. maybe he just wanted to let you know that he was around. doesn't mean he's a ghost or anything. more like a visit. also pretty much explains why you didn't freak.

my mom's old friend used to own a new age shop in this old town next to the Delaware River where a lot of creepy shit went down. At this shop, my mom gave massages and this other woman did hardcore palm readings and she was really intense. She was awesome, but intense. One day I was in her office helping my dad hang up pictures and what not, and I felt the wall and it was ice cold. I ripped my hand away and felt the same wall about 6 inches far from the cold spot and it was burning hot. Then the door closed behind us when everybody else was outside. That was creepy enough.

So then I was out in the front room of the shop and there were all this intense new age decorations hanging on the walls, including some old fashioned wooden ladder right above the cash register. I heard a bang and I looked up and saw this HUGE black dog-like thing above me and I was like '...wtf...' and then this woman who does the palm readings and shit runs in the front door and screams 'TERI RUN!!!" (I'm Teri) so I ran outside not knowing what in god's name was going on, and the ladder that was right above me fell down and smashed the register. Then the lights went out. I still won't even go near that building.

honestly, it's not that great. stuff like that can scar you, and quite frankly, it has. Like I said, I can't even go near that building anymore. and I've had lots of paranormal stuff happen. some is cool, some not so much. I just don't feel like typing out all of the stories

Ive only got one, i dont know if it was a ghost or a lucid dream but it scared the fuck out of me for 2 years straight.
OK
Well i was about 7-8 years old and my dad finds out that his father is dying so we go take the trip to sf were he and my g-ma live to see him. Well we see him and he isnt looking good at all, pretty much hooked up to all sorts of stuff. Im suprised he wasnt in a hospital bed but anyway yeah. Night time comes and we all go to bed. I fall asleep then wake up at like 230 in the morning to my grandpa standing at the door frame of the room i was in just staring at me. He didnt do anything but stand there and there was no way he would be able to get up from his room and walk to the room i was in cus i mean he couldnt even bathe himself. So at this point im staring at my grandfather stare at me with a blank face for about a 40 seconds until i ask him what are you doing. After i said that he just starts to walk towards the kitchen so i get up and go look for him but i cant find him i go look at his door and its still closed, so right now im scared shitless trying to go to bed but after about 2 hours of laying in bed scared to death, some how i get to bed only to wake up in the morning to the paramedics taking my dead grandfather out of my grandparents house in a stretcher.

there was this old school by my house. people have seen kkk people in the building, myself included because i can walk to it. well anyways it is fucking crazy, all the windows were boarded up with plywood. it was pitch black even in the daytime. i went in and it was scary as shit seriously i almost pissed my pants. not from kkk people b/c they come at like 2 in the morning but seriously you could here shit in there and i swear i saw something. i got on my 50 and booked it outta there. there were all kinds of devil signs and shit in the basement which is where the kkk like met. well they were tearing it down in may and i stole like 50ft. of ski rails from it(yay!!) and you could actually see. it was fucking crazy all the shit in there, my friend and i found knives, n***** beaters, gasoline, all kinds of crazy shit. i also stole an exit sign. but its completely tore down now. god was that place scary. fucking KKK shit.

neither of these are ghost stories, but...


i bike a lot, and our old house was near a school with a park behing it. no biggie. this park was solid pine trees, and they were all either 40 feet tall, or or like 8 feet, so u could just barely not see over them. well, it was like 10 at nite, so my friend are like, y dont we bike through the park?its like 3/5 acres, and it has dirt trails and jumps and stuff.
theres this big rock in the middle, like 2 feet hi and like 9 feet long. every1 knows the local druggies hang in there, so theres plastic bags and stuff and broken bottles. there are lights in the park, but like only 3, and u cant really see them. so my friend and i are biking, just randomly following trails, thinkig" i hope we dont end up at the rock". well, we land there by accident, and were all "oh no, were gonna die", joking and stuff, then my friend gets this weird look on his face, like i just cant descrobe it, and he says. hear that? it quiet for like 2 seconds, then we hear this scream, like ear shatttering loud, and we just bok it out of there. just as we start pedaling, like 5"shapes" they looked nothing like humans. i felt sumthing touch my bike as i rode. but anyways, it was so freaky. we thought it through, and we both agreed it wasnt sum teens with time on there hands. but anyways, i hate thinking about it.

and another time, with sum1 else, i was at his house, it was 3 in the morning, and we were playing some board game, totally quiet. then we hear sum1 walking on their porch. they live on a steep hill, so their deck ids like 4 feet wide, and its like 15 feet above the ground. were thinking, okay, sumthings not rite. then this guy, at least 7 feet tall, wearing all black with a hoodie and a really long beard, walks past the window. we are so scared shitless, we just stared at him. then all of a sudden, he jumps OFF the deck, and he rolls down the hill forever, screaming. were thinking it was impossible that he didnt die, cuz he fell off basically a cliff. we just ran upstairs and locked the door(we were like 5)

this one time i was sleeping with a really good friend of mine and woke up to him screaming in the bed with me at 3 am. fucking scary shit. apparently he had a "night terror". i seriously thought he was posessed by the devil cuz i tried chilling him out and his eyes were open and he kept screaming bloody murder. fucking shit was the scariest night of my life.      oh and one time i saw a ghost. i think.

i was chillin at my friends place in his basement to be exact. a few of us were just drinking some beers, smoking some chron johnson so nothing outta the ordinary. we racked up a game of pool, broke and got about halfway through the game, only to be hit by the munchies...left everything how it was and went and RAIDED my bros kitchen...when we got back, all the balls were racked except for the 8 ball which was on the other side on the little dot thing..no one was left behind, we were all together. shit definately freaked me out....then we opened a beer and left it on the ground before we left and when we got back IT WAS still there....

i guess ghosts don't like beer :(

also, this my dad's story

he went to a private school in like 6th grade for like a year(wonder why)

but at this school, it was all rich kids, but they were still really fucked up kids

but at this school, there was this 1 kid, who wasnt a midget but was really really short. anyways, he had ths thing for my dad, and was always randomly talking about how much he hated my dad ans allthis shit. so anyways, after always talking about my dad so much, 1 day, he tells every1 he meets that hes a warlock. well, he finally gets to my dad, and he tels him he put a curse on him. my dads like watev, so he goes home. well that night, my dad brushes his teeth and shit, and as he walks into his room, he sees this 3 prong candle stand thats like 4 feet tall hovering over his bed. hes obviously pretty freaked out, so he runs to hs parents, and they go in his room with him. no candle, and the lights in hos room mysteriously turned on(they were off when he saw the candles)

needless to say, he slept on the couch that night, but he said he woke up at 7:06(6:66),and he literally couldnt move, he was totally paralyzed for 6 minutes.

it sound crazy, but i asked my dad wat the scariest thing that ever happened to him was, and he never told me for like 6 years, and when he did tell me, he almost started crying. pretty disturbing

so this summer i went to the uk with this group called people 2 people and we all had the same dream bout this chick getting killed in a room in the hotel

supposidle her husband killed her 15 yrs ago in the room i was staying in

that was scarry


then i saw the dog man a few weeks ago while riding my bike
