Replying to Questions about custom molded footbeds/innersoles

I got some innersoles molded near the end of last season (NZ = Oct/Nov) and they're good but aren't they supposed to be rigid and flat along the bottom?

At the moment you can see all the contours on the bottom of them so I think they lose their intended shape a bit once they're in the boot and being used, especially arch support.

Was this becuase of a nub bootfitter who didn't finish the job or what?
