Full Tilt vs. rampage/ il moro

i heard they fit basicly the same so dont take a shit on me.
for full tilt i was thinking either the model a or the bumblebee.
for dalbello i was thinking either il moro or rampage, whatever's cheaper.
im asking about pure boot functionality. not fit, and i will try both on, but right now i just want to know if either is much better or much worse.
price is a factor

Pretty sure the full tilts will suck as they are K2 throwbacks out of the original molds whereas the key to Dalbellos success has been the fully remade molds.
When Dalbello first released the Krypton it was out of the original Flexon mold and it was ASS.
Support Dalbello and the $$ they have put into this, not K2 who is trying to cash in on Dalbellos hard work.

Shinbang can be caused by a lot of things, not just your boots.

I made a guide back in the day detailing my extensive experience with it. It really can be caused by a lot of factors, like how you ski, what you ski, your boots, how tight you strap in, the amount of muscle in your leg and even if you have flat feet. Treatment options are wide as well, but its probably not just the boot, and no boot is shin bang free.

actually full tilt went out and bought the molds for the original flexon boots made in the 80's, they were sick of buying parts on ebay so they started their own company in recognition for their "favorite boot" and apparently the boot of choice among top skiers in the world.

Word, K2 isn't cashing in on Dalbello anything, they bought the molds, and rights for the Flexon...which is a totally different boot than the Krypton.

some people love flexons, I had a pair and hated them.

outside of the dalbellos i question the amount of people who have had a chance to use the boots you have mentioned..therefore any advice is fairly inaccurate.

Think about what I am saying before you try and respond please.
Dalbello has paved the way for the three piece shell comeback and has put their company on the line to do it. Only now that that work has been done is K2 jumping on and starting a bandwagon.
And to the other guy, dig a bit deeper and you'll see that "Full Tilt" is just the name they're being sold under in the US because studies showed that K2 boots would look to monopolistic. K2 has already been selling the 3 piece in Europe and Japan, this is just their sneaky way of coming to the US and trying to look all core startup.

so far i think they are pretty comprable, but i could be wrong. the things that make me like the fulltilts are the liner, the weight, and the flex (i think rampages have good flex too)

I hear you about Dalbello bringing the 3-piece back to the limelight, but the return of the flexon has been long overdue, with the number of people who swear by those boots, someone was bound to bring them back because there is going to be a market niche for them.

I'm definitely with Dalbello on this topic, except for the Il Moro. The top buckle on the Il Moro has an issue with stripping when you try to tighten up the strap. It's happened on every pair of boots I've seen, and when Dalbello sent me some replacements, they stripped as well. It's worth the $50-ish to upgrade to the Krypton Pro. The Rampage is a nice boot, too, but you don't get the Intuition liner with them. I'd personally recommend the Intuition liner as well as getting them professionally molded to your feet, it makes all the difference.

Full tilt uses the intuition wrap around liner. WAY NICER. Full tilts are also amazingly simple to put on, thanks to the cables, and the cables move with the boot, not against it like the dalbello buckles. I've tried both on, and I say full tilt 100 percent, no shin bang at all. I used to cringe at skiing even, and i've got 30 days already this year on my titls and love them. You can also get different stiffness tounges, and really get a custom feel, with out messing up the boot. full tilt all the way! get bumblebee pros also, the nicer liner alone is worth it.

full tilts are off the charts. i ride primarily park and these boots kill it. i also know of a handful of very respected park riders that use full tilts as well. the liner is amazing and has all but eliminated shin bang problems for me. the closure system is dope too. there's so much adjustment. they're really lightweight so they're easy to hike in.
i've used the il moro and it's pretty good, but it's nothing compared to the full tilt. i will probably never use anything else.

Hey, I have a pair of the model A boots, and they are great. Very, very flexible, and supportive after getting fitted and heat molded. However, if you weigh over about 140 lbs, you would probably want a stiffer boot, or buy a stiff tongue. These boots are awesome for sure though, I would reccommend Full Tilts.

Loving the Full Tilts as well. Zero shin bang and that alone is an amazing thing. However, keep an eye on the phillips head screws that hold the cuff bolt plates on. After my first day of hitting bigger jumps I went to put my boots on the next morning and noticed that I had lost my inner cuff bolt plate, the canting adj.. It looks as though the screw just backed out. Not blaming the boot at all, just keep an eye on those if you ride them. I think I'll gonna put some light threadlock on there when I get the part in.

have the rampage(brown and white ones)
they are narrow boots but they are realyl comfortable and worth the money
i get shine bang but its not just because of the boot

I had the same problem. The reason the buckles strip is that the tongue can only get so close to your shin, and can physically get any tighter. I need to find a way to make it tighter though, because they're still a little loose so I move a little. I f you have any sugestions it would be great.

I have the Bumblebee pro and I can't imagine skiing with any other boot. so many great things I can say about them. Although one problem, I've heard was that the buckles can break easily while you walk around with them unbuckled, but seriously they fit so well that I never need to unbuckle them. I've worn them around at home once.

You're not the only one. Since this thread, I picked up a pair of last years Krypton Pro's (first year of the neon green/black.) and I know they will be the only boots I will ever ride again. Last season was cut short for me from a fractured heel, due to boots had seen more than their fair share of days causing a poor fit. The Krypton Pro's as well as the Full Tilts I'm sure just lock your heel down like no other boot I've ever tried on. The ID liner is more than worth the upgrade. Warm, comfortable, easy to get into, and perfectly sculpted to my feet. I like what Full Tilt has done with such a classic boot, I however went with Dalbello as they seem to incorporate old technology with modern materials.

I've skied the BB Pro for about 30 days and they are an awesome boot. Great performance, comfort, ad warmth. I never feel the need to loosen them in the chalet

i have raichles and rampages. the rampages are heavy compared to the raichles, but the fulltilts seem to be about the same weight as the rampages. there both super responsive and hold my foot in nicely, the bottom buckle on the rampages always pops off but it doesnt really matter. if i had a choice between the fulltilts and the rampages i would definetly choose rampages because i can pick up some raichles for like 10$.

I used my Full Tilt bumble bee pros for my first powder day ever and they felt amazing, they fit my foot perfectly and they have a nice smooth flex and the liner is so bomb, but i had them too tight so I lost feeling in my toes and didn't realize i got toe bang when I was dropping cliffs so now I have a black toenail all because I didn't cut it short enough

I have the rampages and I would honestly rather have the cross with the id liner. I get shin bang from the rampages too. but if you get a id liner, it's all mint.
