I just broke my Derailler and a couple of spokes in my rear wheel.

Could use input on replacements i'm down with any brands

A whole replacement bike or new componments?

If it was a good wheel and the rim isnt fucked, take it so a shop and they'll be able to sort it out. If it was just an average wheel it may be cheaper to buy a whole new wheel.

As for derailleurs, prettymuch either shimano or sram. If your get a shimano one don't go below a deore one. I'm not very familiar with sram gear.

Make sure whatever derailleur you buy is compatiable with your shifter, as some have different requirements.

Also if you've fucked the derailleur badly enough to break it you may also need a new derailleur hanger cause the existing ones likely to be bent.

get a shimano derailler. and whatever kind of spokes theat match the others on the wheel

sram derailleur fo sho, just get a new wheel cause thats what cool kids do, dt spokes, syncros bulk rim and atomlab hub yea do it

sram is way better than shimano becasue of the thumbs only shifters you can brake and shift at the same time as opposed to shimano where you need to use your break finger to shift. also the sram has a 1:1 ratio so they shift supper smooth and eefficianty.

also that wheel up there i suggested is 100% bombproof but a little on the heavy side

ehh i find shimano more reliable, and if you can get used to dual control xtr or xt shifters i think its wayyy better

i also like the gripshifters on the x.o line though- bit of a toss up for me

but shifting while braking? you cant do that so well with a trigger shift

granted, you cant shift with the dual control dealio while braking, but the simplicity of no thumb levers and no triggers makes the dual control so far above any of the SRAM trigger shifters.  it's all in the brake lever- shifting up and down, and braking all with one lever.  On the downside, they tend to get clogged with dirt and become sticky over time...
which makes the X.0 grips the shifter of choice for me (I am also an xc racer so if your into the whole downhill/super D scene then I'd go for something else)
as for the SRAM X.0 grippys i also like those for their sheer implicity- its intuitive and saves weight to a certain extent.  It's also a hell of a lot cheaper than the X.0 carbon triggers.

i can see how shimano is possibly preferable for xc, im a hardcore freerider, downhill racer dirt jumper that kinda thing

haha yeah, I've always thought Dh would be really fun but I just never got too into it... not too many places to freeride or Dh in central NY though ;)

Don't listen to anyone who says get a x-o or xtr ... they're way over priced for the difference between them and x-9 and xt. And if your asking a question like this you probably dont even need anything that nice, something like Shimano Deore or LX at most would be plenty. As for the spokes just measure them and get something the same length from a shop...and really its hard to replace spokes without a truing stand and spoke wrench so you might just need to take it into a shop if you don't have one.

so much better than Shimano. depending on the type of riding you're doing an X-7 or X-9 will do fine. sounds like you're doing something on a fully so while an X-0 is great, you'll be in tears if you smash it.

for spokes, definately DT Swiss

What bike and type of terrain are you riding?
