granted, you cant shift with the dual control dealio while braking, but the simplicity of no thumb levers and no triggers makes the dual control so far above any of the SRAM trigger shifters. it's all in the brake lever- shifting up and down, and braking all with one lever. On the downside, they tend to get clogged with dirt and become sticky over time...
which makes the X.0 grips the shifter of choice for me (I am also an xc racer so if your into the whole downhill/super D scene then I'd go for something else)
as for the SRAM X.0 grippys i also like those for their sheer implicity- its intuitive and saves weight to a certain extent. It's also a hell of a lot cheaper than the X.0 carbon triggers.
