Right now im looking for a new computer and im really likin macs. How are Hp pavillions? My friend claims that they're sick at first and then they slowly crap out and become incredibly slow? Thoughts? Is he right?
Btw, i saw a sick deal in the paper advertising:
*19 inch flatscreen
*printer
*2 gigs of ram
*windows vista home premium
*320 gb harddrive
only $849.97
Oh and any other comps that you think are sick just post em here. Thanks

ive had my hp for almost 2 years, its been holding up great. no upgrades needed, but yeah it does get slow. but thats because i only got 512mb memory. make sure when u get a new computer at least have 1gb of ram or more. it runs just like any other computer. the only thing that sucks about them is that they come preloaded with all this hp bullshit software and trials to some other stupid shit (like most computers do these days). keep the programs you need (like for your printer/scanner/photocopier), and scrap the rest. its junk. and thats probably why people think its slow.

im writing this on an hp computer, its been great for a long long time, 6 years or so...
it moves a bit slower now just because its getting older, but its still fast enough for whatever programs i use (google earth runs fine, flight simulator 10 runs fine) yeah theyre legit. atleast this one anyways
