Okay. How many of you do exercise when not skiing?
ive found that shotgunning beers is a great way to stay in shape. also i like to spend summer months swimming, waterskiing, skateboarding, hiking, lifting, kayaking and having sex.
Well skiing is not a great exercise unless you are at a mountain with long trails and deep snow and you are riding on thin skis, but thats probably not the case so for most of you and is def. not for me so all year I do a little running and various other sports to stay in shape. tennis=sick sport to get strong legs for skiing but only if you become very competitive.
i eat egg rolls, do log rolls, bench press cats, gently tounge kiss my father, 8 miles of cardio, 3 miles of situps, 4 hours of dance, and 23 hours of light breathing, all day everyday.
i play soccer and lacrosse in the summer. I also used to be a snowboarder, but since I started skiing I noticed it works muscles I never normally used, so I have changed my workout routine in the gym to start working these muscles too. This was my first season skiing (well half season really) but by next year I plan to have worked out those muscles enough that they dont bother me after a day of skiing like this year.
If you want to get better its really important to stay fit year round, not being in shape is never a good idea for a sport/hobby that requires physical strength
lift usually 5 days a week for a couple years now helps skiing so much more than you would think plus gotta have the beach bod for the summer....also it just helps in everyday life
