SAT

So I did pretty bad on my SAT and I don't want to take it again because it is hell and I thought of an idea. What if every person in the country starting now never took the SAT. colleges couldn't use it to judge people and it would become useless to them which would then make the company who makes the SAT loose money and quit. I know this is impossible because of over achievers but I think it would work if everyone did it. This also apllies to the ACT too.

SAT's are pretty much worthless, especially if you only are applying to small colleges. If youre in the Midwest, the ACT is mandatory, and Harvey Mudd is the only school that actually requires that you take the SAT. So.... take the ACT, or just get beefy letters of rec and grades and apply to smaller schools.

i took the act plus writing over the weekend. english part was mad easy but i am really bad at math and the since part i didnt know much either but over all easier than the psat

I've come to the conclusion that the second time you do much better.  If not, fuck it and take the ACTs they are easier anyways.

take the act, unless you wanna go to harvard or somehting you can get in most places with a 1600(on the new scale)

i did so much better on the ACTs than the SATs. i think it's much better at measuring someone's true intelligence and college potential. it takes a certain kind of mind to do well on the SATs, i know very smart people who have done poorly on it. ACTs rule, boycott the SAT!

even though it's not required colleges still love to see a very high SAT score.
For example, of of my very close friends got a 2310 on their SAT. He has a 3.75 (honors/AP at our school do not count as a 5.0 GPA he would have well above a 4.0) but he's applying to princeton and some other very good schools and he has a good chance of getting in because of sports. Then again he also aced the ACT...but the more good test grades you get into them the higher chance of them accepting you.

18fucking30. I fucking hate it. but it is dyeing, bulder might not even look at it in a few years and A bunchof other schools don't give a crap about it, the esay is fucking pointless, you cant be judged by a supposable well thoughtout and written paper that you did it 25 fucking minutes. The math is fucking pointless too so is the reading, and basedout of the people I have talked to there is an inverse relation to how smart you are and your score, my friends a geniuss and he got 1750 and another kid who is not so smart got 800 on the math, so kohl don't feel bad, your probly really smart. and fuck you with your soccer your application will be like 1/4 the length of any I fill out.

Considering a lot of colleges turn away kids by the thousands, boycotting the SAT/ACT wouldn't do squat. They'd just accept took it and throw out the boycotters. ACT is the only one you really need anyway. It's a much better test too.
