What should i do?

i got my skis mounted by the only person who does it this time of year

and i asked for 2cm+ from recommended he knew it he also wrote it down on the peice of paper with everything on it
i got them back, they are 4cm+. not even close

i brought them back and they couldnt do anything i talked to the manager and he said
he needs the guy to look at them cuz they dont know what to do because this hasnt happend before

what should i do? has anyone else dealt with this situation?

what kinda skis are they, what do you want to use them for.  More information would help me help you.


Anyways, if youre using them for park, it's prob better.  4+ isn't too far and will improve switch riding.  I've heard of worse things though where people got, or tried to get new skis.  You should get at least a free mounting.  If they screwed up real bad,(not the case for you, I don't think, you should get new skis(more so if you bought the stuff from the shop).  It is their fault they screwed up.  It's their responsibility to fix the problem and keep your business.

Something a bit different happened to me sister. She was having her skis mounted and they used the wrong bit and drilled semi-through one of the skis. So they bought her a new pair of skis, mount them correctly, paid for the mount, skis, and bindings to compensate. It's their fault they should pay for their mistake, and the in convince.

and i dont want them +4 they would work for park yes
but i ski alta utah sooo

also im heading to ski camp on friday so its so tight for time
i didnt buy anything from them just the mount

dude, the way I see it, your lucky, one of the shops here mounted my skis backwards...BACKWARDS!!!! It wasted a remount on that (for free). At least yours point the right way...

ride them at + 4 for camp since I assume you will be skiing mostly park, and remount when you come back for the upcoming season

Make them at least remount them (at the very minimum). I don't know how much VCT's go for or how much you paid but you should also get some store credit as well.

actually, +4 would be the same as -3 on vcts right? ha that would be perfect, for me atleast and i ski alta/bird too

i dont think so

because +4 is pretty close to true center and on VCTs i dont think that will be to good

true center on a pow ski i always thought was like +10-15. at least on my moships mounted dead center was like +15.

i measured from where the ski touches on the tip to the tail
and it was like +6 or so

so my mom went in to the store and the guy was there
he basicly said he knew he screwed up, he emailed 4frnt for some reason
to ask where to mount. i have no idea why.
but he said he can remount them or i can ski them like they are for camp
and then when i get back he can get me brand new VCT's and re-mount

so i guess its a good deal

now he is fucking mounting them what 4frnt recommends which some how not on the ski so basicly im going to be fucking skiing swith they will be so far back

i meant its going to suck skiing switch with them

he says he cant mount them where i want because they will rip out
i dont understand that because i said 4 cm back from where he put them normally
