Pow skiing overrated?

i dont no about every one but im seeing more and more pow sking in videos (example is push)
i just find most of it boaring inless there jumping or hittin pillows
what do you guys think?

i agree with the fack that its boring to watch, bu i got to ski BC this year and i could ride pow and never step foot near a park for the rest of my life and be FINE with it. and plus being a park skiier in pow u look at everything differently. everythign turns into a park feature

and then try skiing that line without powder. Powder is awesome and fun, people saying it's hard are retarded, it's way easier than any other conditions in the bc.. the lines hugo etc. skis are hard, but not because of powder. when there's powder at my mountain (this year it felt like it never would stop snowing) I ski anything, whereas when there isn't pow I have to take it slower.

Pow isn't hard.

Kids on the east coast.



And to the guy who said skiing pow isn't hard, i can agree. But to that kid, he seemed like he skis pow on blue runs, its way different on steep terrain (way funner). But i totally agree that without pow big shoots and gullies are way harder.

i am soooo sick of people saying "most park rats can't make a pow turn". are you guys fucking serious? maybe these east coast jib-ninjas cant but come grab any park rat around tahoe or summit county and take them out back. most of em can do tech lines switch.

a lot people that call themselves "powder hounds" can be found in the park on a snow day. they dont want to huck cliffs and cornices. they're scared of that shit too. a good skier is a good skier. inside or outside of the ropes. the REAL powder junkies can rip park hard. REAL hard. chris tatsuno and jj schiller taught me this.

ignorant ass fool ass kids that think a park rider like c-van cant make a turn or that a powderhead like pollard cant sw rodeo 7 both ways. fuckin retards. ok. im done.


OH and powder is not over rated to watch either, but it might be boring if YOU dont ever ride pow. just watch pep's self edit. he's the man.

i said most park rats. if you live at tohoe, or anywhere outwest i think its impossible to be a park rat. i mean if it snows and you can't get speed, what are you gonna do go home? i guess i am referring to east coast.

If you have ever skiied poweder before, this is common sence.  Unless you are one of those gangster park skiers from the east who is out west for the first time and tried to hit the park on a powder day.  Stupid.

Then you don't get out enough. I had a solid 12-15 pow days on the east this year. Get in your car, and track it down. Pow skiing on the east can be quite enjoyable.

Pow skiing is boring to watch but fun to ski.

But when I say 'pow' I don't mean that little 6 inch bit of untouched snow on the side of your flat east coast mountain

Pow is only good when you float, the more the better. I would say at least a foot andd a half untouched to be legit. Also the slope needs to be steep, steeper than regular snow since you don't go as fast. The pow also seems deeper on a steep slope.

ive skiied my fair share of pow, i live pretty close to some nice mountains with a couple ungroomed and double blacks and im not claimin shit, i guess its hard as much park skiing at first but once you get into a groove its pretty easy, and its not like its so hard to carve some turns in fluff on a steep ass hill or atleast for me i guess, all skiing is is commitment and if you commit to taking striaght up turns and point your skis striaght down the hill its not as hard for me i guess
