just noticed your post. Mvmt is one of the very few companies that manufactures its skis in its own factory, they also manufacture other brands as well like 4Frnt. They use very exclusive and unique wood cores made from Okume, Karuba and Poplar and Beech. Very expensive high, high performance wood properties (strength, lightweight, dampening, etc)unmatched by anything other material or wooe. All wood is from certified sustainable harvest logging practices (the only ski company in the world to do this).
They are a focused big mountain freeride company who don't do race or "carving" but rather focus on people who charge the off piste or park terrain.
Super cool people with a very, very good product. You will love them if you are an advanced, expert skier who skis hard and fast.
One last note - they did a survey of their skiers a year ago, the avg. Mvmt skier skis 80 days a year!
alright sorry for the bump but i dont understand why they have Movements 08 line (ive never before heard of this company ya heard) and not MOments 08 line in the buyers guide of freeskier mag?
movements pretty big in europe dude. they've been around for a while over here and you can buy them in non freeski specific stores, which i doubt is the case with moment?
