1350. Mine only went up ten points the 2nd time, so I didn't take them again. SAT IIs are more important anyway if you wanna go to a good school, at least a smaller liberal arts college. But big universities usually dont check out SAT IIs unless its a really competitive one.

I got the same exact score on both of the SATs i took. The second time my english went up 20 and my math went down 20.. so it balanced out.

1000 is avrage, and if you get above 1150 you can get in to most evey school but ivey leage ones.

i got 1000 something, but that was last year and i was only in 8th grade and i had never taken any algebra. i did pretty damn well. im in the CTY program where you can take the SATs as a middle school student

Ohhh, you're in the CTY program? That's what I did! I've taken them twice: in 7th and 8th grade. I got 570 verbal and 660 math in 8th. Are you doing any of the summer camps through CTY? I did two of them, and this summer, my little sister is doing one of the ones I did four years ago. They were SO fun! You should try it out. The first one I did was in Long Beach, California on sharks, and the second one was in Baltimore, Maryland and Boston, Massechusetts on whales and estuary systems. Anyway, I'm sure you don't care, but that's cool that you're in the CTY. Maybe I was in CAA... I don't remember. They're the same thing.

Try getting into a top liberal arts college like Amherst, Williams, Middlebury, with an 1150. You'll need straight A's in sick courses and lots of other shit if you've got an 1150. An 1150 alone won't get you into school.

Im going in to 12th, and if you take the SATs when your in 7th or 8th grade its not the real SATs. Like the PSATs are easyer then the SATs the ones you take befor 10th grade are easyer. Also most collages if you have above like 1150 you can get into. And when collage books say 1200 SAT score that is the avrage, so not eveyone has 1200 SATs scores.

Yeah, Misty7. Some programs that have you take it in middle school just give you the PSATs or a practice for the SAT or something, but with Johns Hopkins University's CTY or CAA programs (like ReggaeConcept stated), you take the same SATs that the high school kids take. Just because YOU weren't given that opportunity, doesn't mean it wasn't out there. Kids from all over the US take the SAT in middle school, but they only pick the top of the class with the highest CAT scores, grades, and whatnot. I remember the one I took in 7th grade was at East High School, and my mom dropped me off there and I was scared shitless because it was ALL high school kids, and I was the only middle schooler. Eigth grade: same thing, but it was at Dimond High School (which I now attend) and I was used to it.

My math score alone went up from a 560 in 7th grade to a 660 in 8th, and my verbal from a 460 in 7th to a 570 in 8th.

Getting over 1200 isn't that hard...the average at my school was just under a 1300. But then again its a private school so it doesn't really count.

I never took the psat, never studied or had any idea what was going to be on the test, and got a 1250 my first time. the second time I took it I was hungover and felt like hurling all over the stupid shit. I got a 1400. so as long as you don't think about it too much at all, you'll do well. oh, and you already have a 1350, that's awesome. seriously. average is about a 1200 and colleges will except anything from 1250 up. I'm serious--my two friends are going to Harvard. one of them got a 1600, the other got a 1250...so it goes to show ya...just don't worry about it. college shit is so random anyway these days. it's not worth worrying.

Take a course to improve your scores. They'll teach you techniques for doing it, you'll probably have one at your highschool that should be decent. And to who said your score goes up 100 everytime, it's actually 10. Courses have been proven to boost your score 100-200 - 200 for ones like Princeton Review. - but damn, the PR is like another class they give you homework and I'm pretty sure it meets every night of the week, not weekends, but don't quote me on it, never took it. Good luck, and 1380 or whatever should get ya into a good amount of places as long as you've keep your marks up. 1150 will get ya into most stay schools that aren't anything special. Penn State and University of Maryland and a lot of Cali schools want scores in the 1300-1400's and they're just state schools which are supposed to be the easiest. And an 800-900 is the average score, hard to believe ey?

I got an 1180 and proud of it. I plan on going to college, but nothing amazing, obviously. College is a good time and where ya do undergrad isn't as important as where ya do grad. Yep, sure is a lotta smart kids on here..... Whatevs props to them for studying or something....
