I dont get how you can make clothes, rope, ice cream, flour and a whole fuck load of other things out of one plant. I just had pancakes made with hemp flour, they were alright, it just boggles the mind though.

Yeah we really need to group together and protest to legalize hemp production in the U.S. its way better then cotten because it takes less room to grown, more can be produced and we can live off of it and do anything with it from rope, clothes, cleaning, necklaces, food, and meds. i guess they say the reason it is illegal is because the government is affraid someone might try to grow pot and hide it in the fields. what a bunch of bullshit that is

i had a 'ganja pop' yesterday, it was great. it was a lolipop with hemp extract to make it taste like weed....and it actually did.

the problem it was too goddamn useful. all the nigger lovin american farmers would have lost the business of making ropes back in the day if hemp was kept legal. thats one reason why it isnt legal in the us now.

hemp is in the same canabis family. i dont know its exact name but pot is canabis sativa and im not sure what hemp is. but yes hemp is illegal to grown in oregon but it is imported from other countries, hemp is legal to sell in the u.s but it is illigal to grow

i did a huge project on this last year at school if himp was used to its full potental the wood, cotton, fuel, and plastics industries would die thus puttin millions out of jobs along with saving numerious forests and habbitats for animals. now these newly unemployed people could get jobs working the same industries jut with a himp base. tree farms would get more pulp per arcer(SP) of land with himp instead of trees. clothing would be stronger and just as soft as ever with himp. its serioulsy the greatiest shit out there

but because of the economic disaster it COULD cause and the fact that it is a relitive (not the male plant of bud) of that sticky icky good shit we all love and respect, its viewed as a hippy pipe dream and its always asociated with bud. Even tho there is under .09% THC in himp and another great thing about himp is that there is a built in blocking cemical that makes it so the body can not absorb the THC in the himp plant. so smoke all you want or eat all you want your just going to get sick. Its safe its one of the most virsitale plants out there and our government along with almost every other one in the world can't see that himp is the future and to mabye imbrase it now instead of waiting till its our last resort

also there was a point that anti hempsters made that 'well you could hide weed in himp feilds and you could never tell the difference' except for the fact that if you grow bud in a himp feild, the hemp makes the bud grow so that the THC levels are greatly depleated thus growing it with hemp would be worthless and smoking it would be even more pointless.

actually how it works is they can use hemp fibers when they produce recycled hemp instead of 100% recycled plastic it would be like 60 40 plastic and hemp

This is on topic... sort of... Anyways, once, I wasn't allowed into WA (from BC) because I was wearing a hemp necklace. This was a few years ago... I think I was in grade nine then, and I'm going into grade 12 now.

the thing that defies logic to me is with everyone always talking about the environment and saving the planet and all this other crap, they ignore the fact the cannibus can be used in many ways to better the world we live in. There are in fact also types of cannibus that do not have THC, so they have no 'drug' related association, but because of the stigma that society has put on weed (as a drug) they (society) are choosing to blind themsleves to the positive benefits. Socitey as a whole just needs to take their collective head out of their ass and take a look at what actually is, and what actually could be (without letting stereotypes and stigmas cloud our judgement).

another interesting little factoid, there is a quote from George Washington saying something like grow hemp for war (because it was such a cash crop - and so useful), and also 1 acre of cannibus plants can produce as much paper as 100 acres of old growth trees, and it is also renewable every year, not every 100, and it also produces the cleanest burning natural fuel (oils) known to man right now.

If people want to make this world a better place, we need to look at the bigger picture, and not the scewed fragment that we call real life. We need to reasses the positives and negatives in the world as we know it and try to piece it all back together properly.

you're right yeti, we can't make plastics out of hemp....well not polystyrene. but we CAN make a meterial with the same strenght and other features as polystyrene by using hemp to make a sort of fiberglass
