My comp got a virus and i might have to get rid of all of my files including itunes. All my music is on there, so when i start over with itunes how do get my music that is on my ipod back on to my comp.?
cant you just choose an option on iTunes that you want to use the iPod as a flash drive or something like that and upload the music from the iPod to the computer?
look for pod player package 2. also, make sure itunes is set to not auto update, otherwise when there it will wipe you ipod clean if there is nothing in itunes.
go to control panel then folder options and set show hidden folders and files.
then plug in the ipod with the stuff you want to take of (after you got rid of the virus) and make sure your ipod is in disk mode and not auto update.
so open the ipod in my computer, there should now be a folder there called system info i think it is, well open that then i think the next folder you open itunes, then library and then there will be alot of folders like a12 and all of them are filled with your music and video files.
some of the folder names i said might not be right i havnt done this in a while
ithink that what you do is enable the ipod for disk use, then you go into the ipod files and copy them onto the computer, then go into itunes click on add folder to library and then select the songs you just added
