Whats up all, my girlfriend and I are planning a trip over New Years and these are the areas we're looking to go. We're looking at Dec 26 through Jan 4th, flying into Calgary from Seattle and renting a car. At this point we're thinking 5 or 6 days in Lake Louise and 2 in Panorama, skiing all the areas in between. What do you all say? Would it be better to stay in Banff or Lake Louise? Should I ignore any of the areas? Which town has better night life? Terrain? My girl is a pretty good rider so I'm not looking for greens and easy blues, but cruisin' and riding the park is allways fun.
Thanks for your help.

Lake louise isnt so much a town, as it is a hotel and a gas station.
Go to banff, party for 2 or three days, hit up sunshine and louise, then go to kicking horse.
Pano sucks around that time, Its mad crowded and the sun neevr seems to hit the hill. SOunds like a wikid trip though. have fun

word. if you go down the pano way go to fernie, not pano
but yea stay in banff or canmore and you can ski louise, norquay, sunshine, nakiksa. banff has a more party atmosphere where canmore seems to be more locs.
all of those will be around 30 mins drive from eitehr banff or canmore.
then go to kicking horse and stay in golden for however u want

If you go to Louise don’t bring your park skis as it takes them to early February before they actually open the park. Kicking horse always has snow so I would drop by there, fernie is good too. You also have to make at least one visit to sunshine and ski the dive and Wild West.

Banff, by far, is the only destination place in the Canadian Rockies....the rest are pretty below average in terms of night life. Lake louise (the town) is like 500 people...and, ya, like the one dude said, the Gas Station is the highlight. Pano has a lot of ice around that time, so I wouldn't even bother hitting it for serious skiing. They have some pretty sicke on-hill accomodations and such, but other than that, the skiing isn't hardcore at all. Focus on Louise, Sunshine and of course KickingHorse which has the sickest terrain that you'll ski outside of Jackson Hole or Whistler. KH is built for GOOD - EXPERT skiers, so don't take your gf there if she's not that great.
Apart from Fresh Meat Monday's, KH is the one place I'll never take my woman.

That didn't make sense dude. I think you meant to say apart from fresh meat monday's, kicking horse is the ONLY place you'll EVER take your woman. Monday's are sick because most of the strippers turn tricks on the side and you wanna get them when they first get into town and don't have all that white trash Golden sickness. But other than Monday's you'd want your own to be there.

Maybe your women go to fresh meat mondays, but mine certainly don't.
And "Fresh" when it comes to a stripper is a relative term.
