i skiing east coast..i wanna have a fun responsive ski..rails, big kickers..everything..and im struggling..im 5' 9" 160 pounds...and heres my thing..all 2008 skis
178 invaders but they might be too soft
chronics 176 but think they will be stiff and heavy
and silencers 179 but worried about durability and weight
now call me gay and stupid for posting this...but ive saved up alot of money for like 8 months and i would liek some person input from people who have ridden the skis..or just opinions...thanks

are you set on getting 08 skis? cause you could find some nice 07's for really cheap, and in that way get a better ski for same price.

well the big question then becomes, do you want the better performance, but have to ride last years gear, or not be able to afford as good of performance, but its this years stuff?

p.s. i guarentee you could find some nice 07 sticks...ive seen em all over the place, you just gotta know where to look

Sorry to 2x post, but also look at the Anthem, wider underfoot than the Invader, and a tad stiffer. Might suite you well.

get the scratches, or if you are getting 07-08s, they are called ghetos. they are sick skis, not invader floppy, light, durable, and good for all mountain too.

Alot of 08 skis that have been modified from this seasons gear, we know little about. I only demoed the Ghettos, which i found extremely stiff, and im 10 lbs lighter than you. as was said, the anthems seem like a good chice, maybe some ar6's in a 176, or even some TM's. All are good choices

Like the guy above me posted I was going to suggest the Anthems (even though not many people have ridden them yet) but from what I hear they seem like a sick wider park ski, or the AR6. The invaders for 08 have one of the sickest graphics I think but dont seem to suit what you want.
