History final tomorrow

Yo, I know that there are some smart people on this website and i need one more example for my final history paper.

I need an example of an event in the 20th century (1900's for the ones that aren't as smart)that was history repeating. I already have Vietnam, how they beat the French, Chinese and U.S., and I have the 2 red scares.

Please Newschoolers, help my Greek ass out

Are you comparing Vietnam to Iraq, or what?

Um I can't remember if this is from a book or a movie or where, but whenever America declares a war on a "thing" it always turns out bad. War on drugs, now war on terror. Sorry, that's not the best example.

Hmm, well there are probably literally thousands of examples of where government proved to be incredibly inept by underestimating the cost of things.

You could use terrorist attacks, such as the Madrid subway bombing and the London bombing.

These aren't great examples, sorry. But I'm trying.

Hitler trying to conquer russia in ww2.  he ran into the winter and had a bunch of people die.  Someone else tried to invade it before and failed.  just search it on wikipedia.


vietnam could be history repeated for s korea.  we tried to defeat n korea along with the UN, but came close to the chinese border, then the chinese came and drove us back.  The war actually isn't over.   Both wars was communist north against us and the anti commie locals.

post modernism was a critical reaction against the prevailing norm, which was Modernism (eh, for the most part). Modernism, in turn, had been a reaction and digression from historicsm. both were fundementally aided by developments in technology, as well.

this is an easy one.    compare the US and their war in Vietnam to the Soviet Union and their war in Afghanistan.
