flat spins

i need some help with doing flat spins on my tramp. can someone tell me how it is done. flats are tricky in my opinion and probly because i havent got the real feal of it . someone tell me how to do them

Scratch720 - if you can do a Misty on the tramp, think of it like a Misty. Instead of rolling to the side (usually the left) on take-off, keep pointing straight ahead or even slightly to the right. Try not to get inverted. i.e. don't push your head down.

This is just an approximation. It's really hard to compensate for the jump angle on a tramp surface, but it does mimic, reasonably, the way JF trained these on flat land.

BTW, I'm describing a Flatspin 7 on a tabletop, not a 5 in the pipe...

Isnt a flatspin more toward a backflip, a titled one.....if so how is it like a misty that you throw forward???

can you do rodeos? i learned it by doing a rodeo, but throwing myself forward and doing a rodeo, instead of leaning back right away...

do a backflip, but jump a bit sideways.. look over the shoulder in the direction yur spinning and u do a flat 3.. then eventually take it to 5.. sooper easy..

wind up like a three sixty, but don't unwind until your feer are level with your chest that should put you on the rotation, then look back like a backflip, I haven't learned how to land one yet, but I will tell you how once I learn.

Scratch 720 and Gohuge22 - Have a look at the tramp video posted by ~Public-Enemy~ called Flat 5 on tramp.

Now, I'm aware a number of others argue that it's a rodeo... whatever. It does demonstrate what I mean by a forward facing misty flip. BTW, I played it side by side with Cusson's Flatspin 720 (I kept a copy) that used to be on skiingmotion.com, and they do match up quite nicely for the first twist and a bit.
