Renaming songs in iTunes

ok, so i got the new itunes (but it was doing this with the old one), and when i go to change a song or album or artist name it lets me, but then once i play it it goes back. Like i downloaded a torrent for cypress hill, and for some reason one song had no info. I changed it to how it should have been, but once i played it it went right back. it does this with multiple songs/albums. anyone know how i can make the changes permanant?

thats odd. how exactly are you changing the names? also, I think they're up to 7.2 now so maybe try updating?

change the name, then convert it, just try it

ok, i got help but thanks. if anyone else has the same problem:
i just updated
what i did was go back to the file where it was on my computer (not in itunes) then changed it there. i did not have to put it into itunes from there, it automatically changed. well, let me rephrase that; it automatically changed to what i changed it to once i played each song once
