K so I'm officially giving up on my Ipod, as it's my third one, won't hold battery life, and won't connect to computer's most of the time.
I want an mp3 player with:
-TONS of battery life
-I don't need more than 5 gigs
-a Hold/Lock button
-a radio if possible? I listen to the news more than music.
-smallish
-under 200 bucks.
Anything you guys know of?

What's good about a zune? I'm OK with 250, but it needs to be worth it - I'll only use this when I'm at work.

I'm not gettin that anyways, but it seems too good, eh?
So ya, creative players, are they charged like ipods or do they use AA batteries or something?

they and most likely all mp3 players use li-on or some other sort of rechargeable inner battery. i doubt any use AA.

yup, found the specs and you're correct. I wish they took regular batteries - then I wouldn't have to worry about them dying over time like my damn ipod.

Make sure you don't get screwed over by changing the file format. You're probably using itunes, and some of the mp3's don't use that. I'd suggest an Ipod, just so you don't have to get all new music.

i also recomend the zune. they are SOOOO dirty. and they can be found now for 200 on sale. the battery life is amazing, seriously, if you just have it playing, and arnt shufflin it too mucc, itll play for a couple days.
im so pissed too, cause i just cracked my screen, not too bad, but i fell on it biking, and landed directly on it. at least it doesnt really get in the way, but UGH, pisses me off.

all of my music is on cd, so it doesn't matter. I ordered a creative Zen v Plus.

GREAT CHOICE
i ordered one like a week ago and this thing is kick ass. i've got the two gig and i still have a couple of my favorite edits on there, some photos, personalized backdrop, tons of albums, etc.
its legit
