Fromy me experience in life, I believe there are 3 kind of 'hot chicks'... and this probably applies with guys too

1. hot chicks that are really just crazy bitches and know they are hot
2. hot chicks who know they are hot but front the whole self conscioisu bit ***see bellow
3. the few hot chicks who know they are hot but aren't stupid about it, but those are the girls that no one can ever have.

***ok, every girl is self conscious but a lot of the time you find girls who are like 'oh my god I am so fat' when they know damn well they aren't, they just love hearing people tell them they are beautiful.
