sorry to make a thread like this but i used the searchbar and didn't find anything.
so. im 5' 10" 140 lbs. ang getting skis about 85mm at the waist.
i need a light-lightish binding that is safe and responsive and cheap. ive looked into a lot of bindings and these are my top 3 candidates.
Thanks

FKS - are solid as hell.
STH - isn't out yet, but I've heard good things about them.
Deadbolt - eh, not sure, mixed reviews have kept me from getting a set thus far.

Lightest binding of the group is the Salomon followed by the FKS120 than the Deadbolt412 (Vist) I personally feel the FKS is the best on the market. but that said the salomon is hard to beat. Not Big on Vist bindings but they are the safest set up of the group.

fks is heavier than px12 cuz its a metal hell. i had no idea deadbolts were heavier than the fks though because they are all plastic.

are you sure. this would mean i wont buy them because i want something lighter. i held some p12s and they felt pretty heavy. are these going to be lighter than atomic neox bindings? (which i have now. they suck)

I thought you already bought deadbolts?
I dunno if you need FKS, but the sth 12's, or 412's seem like good choices. If you get FKS 120's you'll have to bend(i have an 85 waist as well) and its an absolute bitch to do.

im pretty sure fks 120s are mainly platic housing, not all metal like the 155 and 185, or maybe its just the toe piece, but either way they are real light

wrong. I own both. The 120's are mainly plastic. The heel is metal, but the toe is all plastic. They are a bit lighter too.

He's been trying to decide his setup since early february, and STILL hasnt even chosen his bindings. Its not that hard. Heck, by the time you finally make your decision, its going to be summer of 2008, and you will be left for 5 months staring at your gear.

yeah, i am. under the thread "fks 120 weight" theres a post with a list of the weights of all bindings worth buying. fks are the 3rd lightest after 912ti and z12ti its only .4 lbs. heavier per binding than the z12. also, beople seem to love them

5' 10"
140 lbs.
on a scale of 1-10, 1 being just starting, 10 being couldn't be better in like a 7

Another thing with the FKS, they make you look cool.
I'm just kidding, I'm sure they're great bindings, I'm interested in a pair.

if you like riding around with dildos on your skis....they hurt like a bitch to fall on. and deadbolts, are in fact lighter then fks 120. i dont care what that list says i have a pair of deadbolt 614s and a pair of fks 120's and the deadbolts are definatly the lighter pair.

Binding weight doesn't matter nearly as much as swing weight from your skis.

They are also the pair that is more likely to break, and then the 4FRNT guys won't help you out.
