ive been looking on ebay at the gl2 and they have packages that run in that range with lots of extras, how does the gl2 stack up against other competition in that range? and is there any downfalls to buying a camera brand new on ebay as opposed to getting one from the store (other than the lack of a factory warranty)
it all depends on wat you are filming
if you are doing moslty skating or you want realy good fisheye shots then get a sony vx1000 becasue they dont have a preset zoom thing (im not sure wat you would call it) but i makes the picture with a fisheye the widest. and it DOES NOT have a LCD screen.
for the gl2 ive heard that the adio isnt that great. but if you know how to use it your can get realy realy good picture and colours. but it isnt that great in low light.
vx 2000 or vx2100 have real good low light. prolly one of the best on the market. and the picture and everything is realy good.
i got the gl2. cause the price was inbetween the vx1000 and vx2_00. and i could easily find it in a story in like the sony cameras.
oh i dont know that much about cameras. but if your really want to know more then go to www.skateperception.com
or you could go to www.snowperception.com but there arent that many members (the site is only a couple months old) so you might not find your answer right away
I've had the vx1k and the 21k. I like the 1k mainly for the colors and its a bit smaller. The 21k is deffinitly an upgrade though. Many more features and for people who are lazy theres an lcd. The 1k is older and has some problems if you buy used which you will deffinitly have to.
