about 30" of gap, we made the ramp so it is adustable using mulch underneath and overlapping 3' pieces of plywood and screwing at the edges so it is essentially hinged. on the first runs he was landing mid rail - about 10 feet out.
I think they are now using the bulk USPS $8.10 rate. I believe that is good for up to 6 containers. Not sure what they are using if you buy one container. It does weigh a couple of pounds per container and comes from Arizona.
This in-run combined with the snowgel is too steep, we could have easily set this rail to have an 8 foot gap. This is another angle of the set up. Here again, keep in mind that we are using a very short looped commercial grade carpet. Its the type of stuff that you see used in public buildings, so eventually the latex backing is going to wear out compared to an indoor/outdoor type of astro-turf.
More good news on this stuff. I just got this email as a clarification to the material and shipping costs.
Since last week we have reduced the single-pak price from $19.95 to $14.95. And, for a 12-pak it is only $9.95 ea. That is a dramatic reduction in pricing.
