Believe me, I understand what you were going at.
Still, if you're speaking of UCSF, its admissions are still very similar to some of the other UC's. I'm sure if you were an athlete during your undergrad career, you still have leverage over someone who didnt. That was the point I was getting at... I just happened to point out that first generation immigrants (even 2nd and 3rd sometimes) have much different cultural focuses. My taiwanese friend for example pointed this out while I was responding in that post.. for he only does two things.. school, and work. He doesnt have any sports backround, and hes not musically inclined at all.. but hey, he got into pretty much every UC still, so of course there are SOME exceptions to the norm. Sure, I'm making a generalization, but the subject was a generalization in the first place.. so thats what I based it on. and of course I dont assume that all asians or any other culture has the same cultural values... I'm not a retard lol.
You also must understand that you cant take that entire post I made to its literal extent. Of course things arent true for ALL circumstances... for everyone is different.
I based a lot of what I said on what I was told by a counseler.. if you want to be contrary, I cant stop you.
Whatever dude.. I'm done with the subject now, but if it really means so much satisfaction for you to call me on it, go for it... just know you're not going to gain any points in life by doing it lol.

the uc system tries to put every california resident in a uc (that passes the eligability stuff). so every campus is a little different). irvine and sd are academic places, sc and sb are party places, berkley is a high academics place, etc... i think this is how it works im applying this year

does anyone in this thread actually attend berkeley? or am i the only NSer in this whole community who goes here....
cal has three separate school affiliated cabins- one in north lake, two in south lake
super cheap, im paying 300 for the usage of the cabin any day december- may- i could potentially live there if i wanted for 50 a month. this is for the truckee house
one club is goin to alpine, one to heavenly, and one somewhere else
great deals with all the clubs like jsut the other nite i went to destination 1440 after hours club members only for 50% all stock- i also went to the new burton warehouse in oakland in august to get first dips on all 07-08 gear at wholesale prices- 40% off
its a sick community, a little bit cultish but not too bad- and they have a reputation on campus for being the biggest partiers outside the greeks.
