dude just stick with lizzies and get another more burly ski for your serious skiiing. lizzies are so much fun, i was forced to sell my first pair to pay for surgery but i just got a brand new unmounted pair for $250 because i loved them so much. i'm getting 190 gotamas to round out the other end of the spectrum.

lizzie is prolly a bit softer but dont take my word for it. ive never flexed maden's but i hear the hellbents are similar and i have those.

so i flexed some today and they felt softer than the elizabeths, also how comfortable are they switch, i know the lizzies are good with the symmetrical flex and whatnot

whoa really, so i take they dont ski short

it's not a ski that's meant to be taken into conditions where "skiing short" matters. they float just fine and don't dive in pow center mounted, but that's only on slopes with less pitch, if you're skiing more gnarly steep stuff you don't want liz or maden.
do you plan on using them as your only ski? if so they really don't excel in a lot of different conditions, they're definitely a quiver ski.

yeah i was thinking the maden would be better as a one ski quiver

madens and lizzies are two different styles of ski in my opinion. well, the lizzie is quite unique. How long are the maidens? Where are you skiing?

uh well the shortest madens come are 179 and i ski snowbird/alta

i just nabbed a brand new pair of 05/06's for $250 and i thought that was a ridiculous deal so if you're going to sell them i wouldn't go any lower than $350.
but if you end up selling them don't get madens get something burlier if you ski the bird most of the time.

yeah thats a hella good deal and how symmetric does the flex feel to you?

well i haven't skied the pair i just bought, but my previous pair (had to sell to help pay for shoulder surgery) pretty much made me a 10x better switch rider overnight. and not that i'm any good at technical jibbing (i suck) but i can ollie them twice as high as my msp's and i can also pop off the tips (i wouldn't give myself enough credit to call it a nollie) with the same amount of force.
but dude seriously stop second guessing yourself, keep the lizzies and get another pair of charger skis, or trade them for something burlier, because they are too soft for an everyday ski for what the bird has to offer, and so are maidens IMO.

yes, i mounted mine maybe 2 cm back from true and they kill it switch. like he said it made so much difference. i can make nice ass carves switch now, like railroad tracks actually on the edge not just skidding. they are amazing for switch riding. such a fun ski in new snow.
